Great Multi-Function Steering Wheel Tray
The Steering Wheel Tray is great. It’s a good fit for the seat gap of my 2024 Subaru Outback, and the organizer space is functional. The organizer part kind of sits on top of the seat, so there’s more storage space than with seat gap fillers that get squashed between the seat and the center console. Of course this also means your leg may be in contact with it depending on your body size and vehicle model. The tray fits the steering wheel very well as long as I rotate the wheel upside down. The tray has a notch to keep my phone upright while I’m eating – I always wished my last steering wheel tray had this simple feature.

A little small but very sturdy and works pretty well
This is a nice little tray, only issue I have is that when attaching it, it made permanent indentions on the steering wheel. This can be avoided by placing a napkin or cloth over the wheel where the tray attaches. Very tight fit as a catch between the center and seat, but it works fine. I’m not unhappy with it.

I give 5 stars because it is a great concept for what I needed to use it for. It would have been perfect. Sadly, it did not fit my steering wheel and I had to return it. Item returned/refunded without issue. It wasn’t too bulky. Nice size and durable construction. Priced accordingly.

This is a great idea… But…
First off, my seat doesn’t go back far enough to allow me to use the desk and sit behind it. While the product attaches well to the steering wheel, it is a very flimsy, and barely supports the weight of the laptop. Maybe if you were just using it to eat or if you were using a small tablet, but for what I need, I need something a little more sturdy. Good concept, though…

I’m going to be honest I felt this was going to be kind of a silly purchase I might never really use but it has made “living in my car” so much more pleasant and productive. I travel from location to location most of the day providing onsite services and invariably there is time gaps between appts and this steering wheel tray has really come in handy for filling out paperwork or for having lunch on and surprisingly the seat and console wedge storage has been very handy with the compartments on the side where I can toss my pens and spare change or phone and things don’t fall between the cracks as often too. Getting the table into place was a little awkward the first few times but it’s second nature now and I can’t think oh anything I would change about it really.

If you take the time to install it properly you will certainly be happy with the result. Take your time – allow at least one hour – and most importantly don’t tighten the stitches until you have completed the installation. Just pull the slack in each stitch from one end to the other with a hook and tie it off.

I had high hopes that this would be the perfect addition to eating lunch in my car. It didn’t quite live up to my expectations 😕No matter what part of the steering wheel or position it tried to place it it never fit quite right and was always tilted up. It also left scratches behind on my leather steering wheel. Wouldn’t buy again to replace if it broke.BUT I do like that it slides in beside the seat and I do you it daily to hold my phone and other small items I need at hand. It has also stopped a number of things falling from my pocket into the crevice between the seat and center console.
