It keeps the splatter off the sides of my microwave but still allow heat to vent. I also appreciate that it comes with a mat to put inside the microwave. It is much easier to periodically clean this than worrying about cleaning the glass tray.

This cover is resistant to heat and food stains. It’s colapsible and compact when not in use. The diameter and height of the cover works on almost everything heated in the microwave. It’s a good idea, but doesn’t work quite right
This item is a microwave cover, collapsible for storage, can be used as a colander , and there is another piece that can be used as a grip to help open jars. It’s a good idea, but doesn’t quite work as intended. It comes in the collapsed state and it’s very difficult to get the sides to stand up properly so it can be used for a microwave cover. I’ve had it now for several weeks, I have used it as a cover, It is lopsided, and sometimes because the sides can’t be straightened out, the top will touch the food.
