Good printing experience – mini air filters are hit and miss
Enjoying the Saturn 2 immensely, after coming from the mars 3 pro and the Saturn 8K the Saturn 2 prints just as reliably as the Mars 3 pro but with a larger build volume. The Saturn 8K seems like an upgraded original Saturn to me and missing the Cob Light source and the Cob light source is the one you want – I have had nothing but trouble with the Saturn 8K and nothing but success with the Mars3 pro and Saturn 2 aside from the included mini air purifiers.The purifiers are fantastic (when they work) and take a big bite out of that resin smell while printing but so far I’ve only had 1 mini air filter work that was included in all 3 of these machines! lol its probably just bad luck but the 1st one sounded like a dying cat when starting a print and the filter included with the Saturn 2 doesn’t even work and I think the last filter worked but it was kind of having a tough time in the bigger enclosure of the Saturn 8K so I imagine 2 would be better in a larger machine. The included video shows the machine in operation and no working filter fan – Dealing with Elegoo customer service over the fan now and they wanted video evidence of it not working but the help system on amazon didnt allow my MP4 file into the chat system so here ya go :DI’m only a day or two into operating the Saturn 2 but so far I have complete confidence in its printing ability and ease of operation (especially if youve taken the time to watch a video or two). I really enjoyed the Mars 3 pro aside from the splashing issues it felt reliable and could be a workhorse of a printer for you and I feel the same way about the Saturn 2 and no splashing issues. I really wanted to like the Saturn 8K I really did but it just didnt hit the mark for me – I really think it was the difference in the light source.I am enjoying the resin 3d printing a lot and plan on sticking with it and I dont think you could go wrong with the Elegoo brand resin printers especially if you are just getting started.

Perfect Upgrade
I picked this up as an upgrade to my first resin 3D printer – a Photon Mono 4k. While I was totally happy with the quality of the Mono 4k, I was getting frustrated with the size of the build plate. Trying to print something like a tank or a large monster would take three or four print sessions. When a print takes 5-7 hours, that can be a little much… Anyway, enter the Elegoo Saturn 3! The build plate is HUGE compared to the Mono 4k with the same quality and detail. I’ve printed tanks, dragons… Excellent results.Let’s talk about set up and calibration. I found this easy as pie. In fact, much easier than the Mono 4k. I’ve heard mixed things about the single post build plate leveling device vs. the four point. To me, this is a non issue. I have found that if you level your printer correctly once and don’t move it around – you really don’t need to relevel it often, if at all. I leveled and printed the rook included on the flash drive. It printed flawlessly with my usual Sunlu ABS like resin. After that I was so encouraged I didn’t even bother with any calibration tests. I just printed some minis and they came out great! Default ABS like settings! Pretty good! Eventually, I did run the cones of calibration to really dial things in and since then it’s been printing like a dream.The included air filter is great. I was previously using Elegoos stand alone filters. Those were kind of a pain and you had to recharge them with a Micro USB. Just… kind of irritating. This includes an air filter that slots right into the printer via standard USB. It only kicks on when you’re printing. Which is neat!One downside – the included USB thumbstick is …not good. I’ve heard complaints about these flash drives and I always thought it was overblown. No, it isn’t. The only issue or failure I’ve had has been w/ USB errors. It will regularly disconnect from my PC when slicing as well. So I’d definitely recommend replacing the flash drive.Otherwise, it’s sort of INSANE the value this presents. You’ll get ultra high quality prints. It’s easy as hell to use. And the print volume is pretty massive. If you’re interested in printing miniatures for wargaming – which I imagine is a good portion of those interested in 3D printers – this is an absolute 10/10 winner. Buy it and you will not regret it. I say that with the utmost confidence.

Great printer!!
This printer is the perfect way to get into printing, or just to have a good machine with a high ease-of-use factor.It’s not terribly loud, but it does make noise. It is important to use this machine with proper ventilation. It does not have any built in air filtration, nor is it a sealed unit. So if your resin is not low-odor, it will get fairly fume-y. I put mine in a sealable cabinet with an outside-vented fan.As for how the machine works, it has given me a super easy introduction to 3d printing. It’s made nothing but flawless prints since getting it. I had exactly ZERO experience with any of this. But the machine does most of the work.

Excelente impresora, me gustan mucho sus impresiones con muchísimo detalle, fácil de configurar. Con una area muy amplia de impresión, de excelente calidad le pongo un 9 de 10, pues el 10 sin duda se lo llevaría la saturn 4
