At first I thought it was defective as you had to hold the on button long enough for it to boot up. As far as smoothing PLA prints goes you would need a lot of patience and practice. For me it made more of a mess of the prints than improving them

TOO HOT
This tool is advertised for smoothing 3D prints, but it’s completely unfit for that purpose. The absolute lowest temperature setting is 180°C, which is a critical design flaw. For common filaments like PLA, this temperature doesn’t smooth anything; it instantly melts and destroys the print on contact. There is no “technique” that can save it, the tool is simply too hot.I’ve tried it on multiple prints, hoping I was just doing something wrong. But every single time, it has resulted in a ruined, gooey mess. It doesn’t matter how fast you move or what protective barriers you use, the heat is too aggressive and uncontrollable for its intended function.It’s incredibly frustrating to spend time on a print only to have it destroyed in seconds by a tool that’s supposed to improve it. This product should not be marketed to the 3D printing community. Save your money and your prints. I’m returning this.

Doesn’t work
I had it sitting for a while before I could use it and it doesn’t even turn on at all. Tried different outlets and checked to see if there was any exposed wires or something and couldnt find anything wrong with it
