I got this charm bracelet for a 7 year-old because she’s in that stage where crafts and anything sparkly feel magical. I thought it would be a fun project to spark her creativity, and it delivered.The variety was the first thing that stood out. Mermaids, rainbows, cosmic charms, and many different types of beads. There’s enough here to make several bracelets and necklaces. The box was really pretty too.On the downside, the storage box that holds all the beads has latches that are too stiff. Even I had trouble opening them, and for little hands, it can be frustrating. A few of the beads are also quite small, so working on a flat surface is a must to avoid losing them.The surprise, though, was how much she got into designing. Instead of just stringing beads at random, she carefully picked colors and matched charms like a little jewelry designer. We ended up spending the afternoon making bracelets together, and of course we had to make bestie matching bracelets.These charms and beads are good quality and fun to play with. I would recommend this set as a gift for any little jewelry designer.

This set has a pretty, giftable box – see my photo. The plastic storage box is sturdy with four easy-to-open, secure snaps to keep it closed. The set contains lots of good quality, color-coordinated and gold beads. The necklace cords and bracelet chains can be strung with beads, taken apart, and used many times to create new jewelry designs. This feature makes it easy for kids to play with the set independently.The charms are not connected to the bale beads with the jump rings. The set includes a good pair of tweezers to close the jump rings. I found them easy to use; I do have a lot of experience doing this. However, this takes manual dexterity that young children do not yet have. If you want to gift this set to a child, I recommend that you attach all of the charms ahead of time.The gift box, excellent storage box, and generous amount of beads and supplies make this set a good value for the money. I think this set would make a good gift for yourself, a child or an adult.
