Tad to small for my intended purpose but will work for others
This is a versatile mat that can be used for anything that makes a mess. I was hoping to be able to use this under my bottle cutter but it’s a tad too small but will still work for when I do glass engraving with my Dremel. I do plan on trying my hand at glass mosaics and this will be perfect for catching those chards when I snip the glass. Very versatile for containing all sorts of things. It doesn’t lay completely flat but unless you’re doing something that requires it to be level it shouldn’t be a problem as its intended use is to catch chards.

Essential Tool for Safe and Clean Glass Cutting
I’ve been using this 12” x 12” stained glass cutting mat for my glass and mosaic projects, and it has quickly become an essential part of my workspace. The removable waffle grid design is brilliant — it catches tiny shards and chips, keeping my work surface much safer and cleaner. No more worrying about little glass pieces getting under my project or sticking to my hands. The tray is made from sturdy, premium plastic that feels durable enough for long-term use. Cleanup is super easy: just lift out the grid and empty the shards. I also love that the tray can hold a little water, so I’ve repurposed it as a plant saucer when needed, which is a nice bonus. While the edges of the tray are a bit sharp, a quick sandpaper smooth-out solved that issue for me. Overall, this mat delivers exactly what it promises — safety, convenience, and durability. I highly recommend it for both stained glass beginners and hobbyists alike!

The shards of glass fall through the grid and are contained in the tray for cleanup later.
Stained Glass Cutting Mat with Tray, Great for Scoring and Cutting Glass, Catching Glass Shards in Grids, Removable Double-layer Design, Easy to Clean, Stained Glass Cutting Tools Supplies(12”x12”) First impressions: Nicer thick plastic tray with a removable grid. The grid makes it easy to clean up glass shards. Score your glass and snap it over the grid, letting any shards fall in the tray. The shards fall through the grid and are contained in the tray for cleanup later. Installation/setup: Use to contain glass shards while cutting glass. Use a brush over a trash can or a vacuum to clean the tray. Final thoughts: The tray is thick plastic and the grid has square holes to let the shards fall through. The grid lifts out easily and the tray can be cleaned easily. The glass tends to break leaving tiny pieces behind and they get all over your table. It’s easy to put your hand down on a piece and hurt yourself. Small pieces of glass can also get under your project and cause it to break unevenly or in the wrong places. I like this, it contains the mess and I’m glad I got it. ⭐️1 star – I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars – I don’t recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars – It’s passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars – Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – Product that I totally recommend.

Works just as it should!
Perfect mat for catching all those tiny little glass shards that always seem to accumulate when you’re working on a project and making a lot of nips!

Catches glass splinters well
This is good to cut and separate cut glass over but not soiled enough to lay the glass on when you cut with the glass cutter.

good but small
great stain glass tray, though a little small. The plastic does not seem brittle and I expect it to hold up with prolonged use
