Fun Afternoon Craft
I chose this kit as a weekend project to do with my niece, who enjoys arts and crafts, and it ended up being a fun way to spend an afternoon. Everything was neatly packed and easy to understand, even for someone who hasn’t done jewelry-making before. The designs turned out cute and wearable.The pressed floral stickers had a nice variety to choose from and were easy to place onto the acrylic pieces. It’s not actual resin, but the effect is close enough for a casual DIY kit, and the pieces seem durable enough to last.The earring pieces are just the right size, without being too big or too small. The acrylic has a nice smooth finish and is light enough to wear without pulling on your ears. Assembly didn’t take long at all.The only thing I’d change is the metal used for the earring hooks and jump rings. They’re a gold tone, which looks nice, but I would have preferred something nickel-free or surgical steel, just to be on the safe side for sensitive skin. I ended up swapping out the hooks for a pair I already had at home.This kit was simple and satisfying. It’s not complicated, but that’s kind of the point. My niece wore one of the pairs home, and the others we wrapped up as small gifts for her friends. At its current price, it is a good value for beginners or just for doing something creative without a huge time commitment.

Great for teens
This is a great earring-making kit for a true beginner. Everything that you need to make the floral acrylic earrings is included, and it is really easy to use.With the acrylic already poured and shaped, the flowers aren’t actually embedded in the acrylic; rather, they are in sticker form, and you apply them to the acrylic.You have 4 different types of acrylic that the stickers can be applied to: medium circles, small circles, oblong shapes, and squares.Many fasteners are included to give you the creative license to make a variety of large and small sizes in the length of earrings you want.The color of the flowers is more muted than I would like, but you can still tell the type of flower.With the smaller piece sizes and the bit of patience required to get everything together, I would say this is more suited for ages 12 and up, unless your younger child is great with fine motor skills and can stay on task with a task-oriented project.For the price, this is a good value option for making three sets of earrings.4.5 Stars

Quick and fun project for busy crafters.
My teenagers really enjoyed making their own earrings with this kit! Great for beginners, because it came with everything they needed. There were enough materials to make a few different styles so it was a great value. The lovely, detailed flower stickers on the acrylic really give the look of resin earrings. My girls love this kind of thing but don’t have a lot of spare time, and this is a fast alternative to working with actual resin.

Not Real Acrylic or Resin Earrings
This has to be one of the worst purchases I’ve made on Amazon in a very long time. I was surprised by that because of the brand name (Faber-Castell) has a good reputation behind them. I decided to get the kit to make the earrings for myself because I left all my earrings at my sister’s house down south, so I was looking for some casual type earrings I could wear for every day.The title of the item is called “Pressed Floral Acrylic Earrings” and that is so misleading. There is no acrylic or resin in this kit. This kit contains plastic pieces to make 3 pairs of earrings, two of each shape for which you then put flower stickers on. Then after the stickers are placed on the plastic pieces, you put an additional clear sticker over it.The pieces used to make the earrings are very cheap white flimsy plastic. The shepherd’s hook and the jump rings are the only real brass pieces I could find. The other parts are made of plastic, painted in a gold coating. The instructions that came with the kit are fine and easy to read, but as an adult or even a teen, I couldn’t see myself wearing them. The kit also provides 3 cards with holes in them to put the completed earrings on and a place for your name if you wanted to gift them. The only positive thing I can say about this kit is that it provides an activity to do if you’re bored and want to do something crafty. However, the kit is way overpriced and I can’t recommend it at all.

My girls enjoyed the creative part, especially choosing the colors and shapes, but I quickly realized it isn’t exactly beginner-friendly. You need steady hands and a bit of patience, especially when dealing with the tiny jump rings. Having jewelry pliers on hand makes a huge difference.Even with the challenge, the girls were proud of what they made, and it was fun to see them create something they can gift or even wear themselves. For the price, it’s a good value and makes a thoughtful craft kit for older kids or tweens with an interest in jewelry. I’d recommend it, just with the note that younger kids will probably need a parent nearby to lend a hand.
