The Adir Cutting Mats are the most flexible cutting mats on the market today because they’re made of a new, 3-ply high-tech polymer material. Constructed with a self-healing surface, Adir Cutting Mats are extremely durable and hold up under repeated use with art and mat knives or rotary cutters.Our self-healing cutting mats are 3 mm thick and made of 3 plies. The outer plies are .75 mm thick and give the mat self-healing properties. During lockdown, my wife and I decided to take up quilting as a hobby/activity. Okay, actually she decided and I agreed to help is how it worked. But same result. We did all the research, she bought her quilting stuff, and I was the geometry guy and in charge of marking, cutting, and other prep. 6 quilts, 2 table runners, and a few pillows later, this is the result for this product:I never heard of a self-healing mat. This is so cool! Who knew? I’ve probably put a few thousand cuts on this things so far and no marks. I mean it can’t last forever, but with the use I’ve put on it already, I wouldn’t be disappointed if it stopped today. Yet no signs of wear.Measurements are spot on, as are angles. I literally can’t think of a thing they could do to make this better except for make it bigger.Oh, and it doesn’t move on top of the table. It’s a little weighty, but the big thing is that it doesn’t scoot when you put pressure on it. Everything stays very firm. You can’t dig into the top or anything and it’s very tight. But apparently it gives just enough that you can feel the fabric cut, but you don’t sink down in.Now the cutter we got initially only had the regular stainless wheel with it. [Note to self and others – using a cutting wheel on a plexiglass cutting board will ruin the blade. Don’t ask how I know this. ]So we got a package of new titanium blades [<- yes, use these, not the steel ones]. While I am finally on the second blade, I credit this mat with making the first one last a LOT longer than I thought it would.

It survived being in transit for a long time. Normally it would worp but remained flat. It is heavy in weight; therefore stays in place.

It is everything I wanted
This is not regular cutting mat. I used it to cover my drawing table that after 40 years of use isn’t the most level drawing surface. Not only does this mat fix that, it also eliminates the need I have for a T-square since for most sized paper I can use a triangle or ruler to draw straight lines if I need to. The paper is set according the lines marked on the mat and then I can do whatever, because the paper is straight. The material is waterproof (meaning coffee and watercolor water) and I can even cut on it (which I don’t do often, but if I need to I have the perfect surface). It looks nice as well. And if I get tired of the green, which is easy on the reflections of morning light, I can always flip it over. It didn’t slide around on the table top, but to make sure I have a straight edge on the left side with uses two clamps to hold it in place and I put a clamp light on the left side to anchor the pad in place. So far, I love this thing. Best money spent in a long time.

Good cutting mats overall
I assume the big part of the cost of these is shipping, I can deal with that, but where I was really disappointed with these mats is the lack of Quality assurance. 1st and foremost, on the black side, the white letter is a neutral gray and pretty much useless because you can’t see it when you have paper over it. Another brand I use, I can see the white letters. The other issue I had with the smaller ones was there were 2 area of a double print! And when you are looking to do precise measurements, that is a huge fail. The owners or quality manager, if there is one, need to take a good hard look at the product they are selling.

Great Size, Carefully Packaged
Before I purchased this I wass worried about it possibly coming rolled up and being warped, but it was packaged with care and was absolutely perfect for my space. It’s half the price of the others this size so I feel like I got a really great deal. I’m thrilled with my purchase!

The product says A2 size, but they ship 2 A2 mats. Happened twice with me, the first time I placed a replacement thinking it might be a mixup. But the second time too, two mats arrived in the package. The product maybe good, because it feels heavy for sure, 2 stars.

Je suis enchantée de mon nouveau tapis de découpe. J’ai acheté celui-ci parce que mon ancien tapis avait vingt ans. Il ne cicatrisait presque plus après la découpe de projets et nécessitait que je repasse plusieurs fois au même endroit pour arriver à tailler des pièces. De plus, mon nouveau tapis est beaucoup plus grand et me permet de tailler de plus grands morceaux sans déplacer ma pièce sur la surface de travail. Je ne regrette pas mon achat du tout et je le recommande.

I recently made a purchase this product, quality is good. However, I encountered a significant issue with the size. Despite ordering 18×24 inches as it claims, the seller twice sent me the incorrect A3 Size which i didn’t ask for. This appears to be deceitful attempt, no option of returning. If you’re specifically seeking A3 or 12×17 inches then, it might be suitable choice, but for those in need of 18×24 inches, caution advised. I have no use of this which is disappointing.
