Overtime, my Foodsaver vacuum seal took longer and longer to vacuum, and then seal my food. It finally got to the point where the suction would keep running and never get enough vacuum to trigger the SEAL function unless I pressed down on the vacuum sealer machine top.These new seals, once installed, have solved that problem and now it works like it is supposed too.PROS: IT WORKS!Neutral:The seals themselves are slightly longer than the OEM for my Foodsaver FM2000 (about 1/5-inch) and very slightly wider. However, by inserting the ends first and then slightly compressing the material as I pushed in the sides, it did fit well and, it forms a very good seal when the lid is closed.

Horrible packaging – arrived damaged.
Product packaging is horrible. 2 of 4 gaskets were damaged from storage and or shipment. Gasket cut is great. Material is great. The two gaskets not damaged fixed the machine. So sad they bought great material did a great job manufacturing and then totally dropped the ball by not packaging them so they could not be damaged in storage or shipment. Problem is I had two to repair. Going to order from a different company and call it a loss.

Seems like great foam that would seal well but it has no adhesive to mount it with. Not sure what they were thinking.

This fits VS3197 sold at Costco. It really works.One day, my Foodsaver failed to make a vacuum. My old gasket looked fine, so I opened it and examined the hoses, but all of them were okay. When I bought this new one, I found that there is a height difference. The old gasket must have been compressed during long use. After replacing it with this one, it works perfectly.Also, this one is delivered in a good package. The foam is cut, but the inner rectangle remains inside the perimeter so that the gasket retains its shape during the delivery. I have read complaints about the poor packaging from other similar product reviews. This one is good.
