Two USB Ports
This car power inverter comes with two regular outlets and two USB ports. The AC outlets easily powered a number of items that were under a total of 500 Watts. The ON-OFF switch only works for the 3-prong plugs (American Plug). NOTE: the USB portion is NOT switched. The USB charge ports can also work in the switch-off position so no fan noise issue for just charging usb gizmos, which detects your devices automatically to deliver its fastest charge speed up to 2.4 amps per port/4.2 amps max. Its main purpose is to provide 110 – 120V in the field for powering/recharging large tablets, high capacity battery packs, and a large telescope in the field, or on camping trips.

Connect with Alligator Battery Clamps and Cigarette Lighter Plug
The battery clamps are very sturdy and resemble jumper cable clamps.Not a battery backup, this is a power inverter, you need a battery to run. Don’t leave it plugged in your car when it’s not being used.
This device is great as it plugs in where the cigarette lighter plug use to be handy, you cannot get 500 watts from 12volt car cigarette lighter, needs alligator clips for battery. It states it will not drain your battery dry because of an under-voltage protection point. The 12V cigarette lighter plug is spring-loaded and fits snugly into the receptacle. You’re going to be plugging this into your car cigarette lighter, you should probably keep the wattage under 300, since that is what most car cigarette lighter fuses are set for.
External Replaceable Fuses
The two spare 40A/32V fuses are replaceable commonly fuses, it’s easily replaceable from the back of the Inverter. It is mainly used in high-power inverters (above 300W) equipped with car battery clips cable, which not only bears the function of built-in insurance, but also functions of reverse polarity protection. When the positive and negative poles of the battery clips cable are reversed, the diode inside the item is equivalent to direct conduction, which will generate a great current. I had an old inverter years ago, but it wasn’t reliable and could only power one device. I ordered this 300W car power inverter after reading the description. Technology has gone a long way. This unit has many protections not offered in the past. It has 2 regular 110V ports, and 2 USB-A ports, to power up to 4 devices simultaneously. I oftentimes travel long distances and have wished for these options. The regular 12V adapter for my devices is limited in number and power. I tested it for a trip this coming month. My 110V device functions without any glitch. Both USB ports work in charging devices simultaneously. I can’t describe how pleased I am. The current list price is $35.99, far less than what I paid for my (now inferior unit) over 15 years ago. It is a bargain.

It works! Perfect for camping!
I took this baby with me to go camping with my daughter and it was perfect. I hate sleeping on the cold hard ground so I purchased a inflatable mattress which requires me to plug into a power source….enter the Car Power Inverter. I plugged it into this baby and in a matter of minutes, I had a queen sized air mattress. The sleep was amazing. The inverter didn’t overheat, or pause, or have any funky burning smell coming from it. It worked perfectly. I would highly recommend!
