Brothers can play together!
First, I liked the large versatile rug. It can be used on the floor or on a table with seniors playing with their grandchildren. Secondly, my 10 and 6 yr old grandchildren could play together. Usually they are in their own little activities in their rooms, yes; apart. The thickness of the rug makes it sturdy. The value for a birthday present was doable for most budgets too. I like the larger plastic checkers, unbreakable. Lightweight and easy to store in a drawer, basket, or box.

Great mat for checkerboard-nice large pieces
My Grandson and I had lots of fun playing with this set of Checkers and TicTacToe! A big plus pieces were large enough to not be choking hazard for baby brother.
