Oh how I love these beads. They are the prettiest ones I have seen yet.One of the things I always am concerned about are beads that claim to be crystal but I know they are not because they do not quite fit the description of what a true crystal bead is. I looked up what a true crystal bead is. “True crystal beads are specifically made from leaded glass or high-quality formulations that enhance their optical properties”. “While all crystal beads can be considered a type of glass bead, not all glass beads qualify as crystal”. While that helps in understanding, it was not absolute in the determination of these beads for me.There are three conditions that determine if it is real crystal or not: Composition, Optical Properties, and Durability and Weight. After reading these conditions it is still hard for me to tell if these are true crystal, they just have that high quality look and sparkle that true crystal beads do have. The one thing I cannot test, to see if they are genuine crystal beads, because they are so small, is if they can refract rainbow colors while held up to let the sun shine in. I would have to string some up and hang them in front of a window where the sun shines directly in the window. I do not have that ability.At any rate … to me these are the most highest quality glass beads I have seen and therefore I can confirm they are a very high quality glass bead that deserves the claim of crystal glass beads. I love these beads and I want more of them.

A nice selection of 4mm glass bicone beads. They come in a convenient storage container and in an assortment of colors, opacity, and surface treatments (metallic and AB electroplating). The colored glass seems stable and not surface dyed.
