Belts work for this red eye machine!
This was great for my great grandmother’s 1912 red eye Singer treadle sewing machine. We had to cut down the leather belt to fit not by much, The sewing machine needles do not work, they are too short. Regular machine sewing needles work for this antique machine.

Belts fine, accessories hit or miss
TLDR: Look at the price of this solely for the belts, not the accessories.The needles and bobbins did not fit my 66 (the needles seem usually short, the bobbins I believe are for a 15), and the clipper scissors were so misaligned and warped their blades couldn’t even touch for cutting. However, the actual belts and the hole-punching tool worked fine, and the extra belt staples seem solid; belts also feel solid, and while the hole punch is prone to losing its needle it works fine for pressing down, which is what you’ll need it for (I recommend using it with a rubber mallet to speed up the holing process; hammer half from one side then flip and finish from the other side to avoid getting the needle hopelessly stuck).

This 2-piece, 72-inch x 3/16″ thickness Treadle Sewing Machine Belt set with connecting hooks also comes with a 28-piece set of accessories that can come in handy. I like the small scissors – they’re perfect to have near your sewing or hobby area to quickly snip those tails and ends of threads. It also has a few needle-threaders (always helpful!), two hem clips to keep your hems evenly folded, extra size 15 needles and some common bobbins. The handiest piece of the kit is a small awl. You’ll need that to connect the treadle belt. Just cut it to length, use the awl to poke a hole through the end opposite the hook end, and then hook them together and squeeze the hook over with pliers. I have multiple treadle sewing machines, and this two-pack with accessories set is cheaper than buying the individual belts, so even if you don’t need the accessories, it’s a FANTASTIC deal! The belts didn’t feel dried out; they were nice and flexible so they’ll last a while on your machine. I’m very pleased with the kit.
