Watermelon Ball – A Pool Toy That Actually Delivers
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this thing turned out to be a total win. It’s not your typical floaty—it’s filled with water, so it sinks and hovers underwater, which makes pool games way more fun. You can dribble it like a basketball, pass it around, or just bounce it off the pool floor. It’s surprisingly versatile.Setup is easy: it comes with a hose adapter and filling needles, and once it’s full, it weighs about 14.5 lbs. It’s made of tough PVC, so it holds up well even with rough play1.What I liked most:It encourages movement and teamwork—great for kids, teens, and adults. The watermelon design is cute and easy to spot underwater. It doesn’t leak or deflate, even after hours of play.Downsides? Not really. Just don’t expect it to float like a beach ball—it’s meant to stay underwater. And it’s a bit heavy outside the pool, but that’s part of the charm.Final thought: It’s fun, durable, and totally worth the price

So stinking fun for something so simple!
It’s a ball… that sinks AND floats. I mean, it’s not rocket science, but it’s such a cool toy! I saw lots of versions of this, but what can I say – I wanted to support the original maker. I got the small size, as we have a small pool, and I just thought it would be best for tossing around and diving underwater for. I wasn’t wrong! My son loves to have us throw it for him and then he’ll dive and spin and try to catch it. Yes, I DO think he may be part lab. Or otter. Not quite sure which. I love to throw it different ways and see how it’ll spin and curve underwater. It’s rather fascinating. And fun. It’s gotten accidentally tossed out of the pool a few times, and it looks and feels like it could stand up to much worse treatment. The rubber it’s made out of is Thick, so I’m not afraid it’s going to break anytime soon.It Does weigh a few pounds, so, as long as you and your kids understand it’s not a balloon, it’s a water-weighted ball, everyone should be fine. No purposefully dropping it on a sibling’s head, you know? Or slinging it into someone’s crotch. That junk WILL hurt, even with the small size. For that purpose, I’d definitely supervise the use of it until the tween years, unless your younger child is crazy responsible and considerate.Honestly, the hardest part was figuring out how far in to stick the water-inflation needle. For the record, you gotta stick it allll the way in there. Otherwise it’ll just spit around the opening. Stop giggling in the back of the room.

Very durable and fun water ball!
Great ball! I purchased this ball in May 2021 and it is still up and running. This Ball lives in our pool and so it’s constantly exposed to the pool chemicals and the Florida UV rays. In addition, I have two kids who both played with the extremely aggressively and often. Over the last year or two, some of the markings have faded to the point where they have almost disappeared, but I would’ve thought that would’ve happened within a month. The fact that they can still throw the ball around is a wonder. They also sometimes throw this fall out of the water or try to throw it as far as they possibly can which I would imagine, puts quite a bit of strain on it.. especially when it’s hitting concrete or travertine with its full weight.I would absolutely buy this ball again!

Great pool ball
Super fun pool toy. The instructions are a little confusing but once you figure them out it’s great!

Amazingly simple and so much fun pool toy
What a simply and fun addition to pool play! Who says you need all these blow up pool toys to have fun? These balls are WAY more entertaining than any other pool toy we’ve had. My kids find many ways to entertain themselves with these balls and also play cooperative games with them in the pool. It’s great for all ages. My only problem is that they are such a hit when other kids come over that they fight over them…I’ll probably have to buy another 2 pack…

Best Pool Toy
This is an awesome pool toy for kids! It keeps them entertained and works for all kinds of games—basketball, soccer, keep-away, you name it. It’s especially fun with a group (three or more is ideal), but even solo, it’s still a blast. Just make sure to fill the ball completely with water—if there’s even a little bit of air left inside, it’ll float instead of sinking like it’s supposed to. Once it’s filled properly, though, this thing is unbeatable. Highly recommend it—kids are going to love it!Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product stood out. Most pool toys are all the same, and I wanted to get my kids something new and unique. And as soon as I saw the Watermelon Ball, I knew that it was the one.Durability:The material of the ball is really durable; a hole in the ball seems very unlikely.Ease of assembly:It’s very easy to fill with water. It’s the same thing as filling up a pool float with air, except with water.

Fun but doesn’t last
The smaller ball sunk to the bottom and doesn’t float after only a few days. Maybe it can be fixed not sure. I enjoy tossing it and bouncing it under water. Big one still going after a month.

I bought the watermelon ball for my 14 year old grandson. They have just put in a swimming pool and I knew they would get a lot of ordinary pool toys for Christmas. I thought that this was different enough to create a bit of excitement. I wasn’t wrong! The three grandchildren are all loving it and the ability to play with it underwater. It definitely outshone the other pool toys on offer! Would recommend.

Came in a plastic bag, no information, instructions, not the way it looked, was a gift, and looked like a cheap import from China, picture on display shows a box, and looks to be a book as well – none of these were received,
