5 stars for cutting mat, 3 stars for rotary cutting tool.
I am using the mat and cutter for cutting fabric for rug hooking, and cardboard for cat scratching pads. Cutting mat is good quality, and the cuts self-seal well. The rotary cutting tool is not as well made. The button to lock the blade is cheap and doesn’t stay locked in place. Blade was dull and wouldn’t completely cut through a single layer of t-shirt fabric right from the start. Will replace the blade with a new one, and will hopefully get better performance from the new blade. Giving 5 stars for the mat and 3 stars for the cutter, for final score of 4 stars. Might end up purchasing another rotary cutter if changing blades doesn’t help.8/20/2019 Update – All of the blades shipped with this rotary cutter were dull. Bought more expensive, better quality blades from another source, and noticed much improved cutting performance immediately. Another problem has developed, however. Screw mechanism keeps loosening up so that the blade now wobbles on the shaft as I cut fabric using a straight edge guide, resulting in non-parallel cuts. Haven’t been able to figure out how to tighten the screw, so I am looking for a replacement rotary cutter.

This is great! I have never used a Rotary cutter, but it’s pretty easy. Just start off slow, use a ruler to help with straight lines, and go for it. I got this for my son and his hobby of making patches. It’s a lot easier than using scissors for him. It was great that the 2 items came together. I couldn’t ask for more and you also have a choice of what size boards, you need. The cutting board also has “longitudes & latitudes” already on the board. It’s durable and sturdy. I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you

Buena calidad y precio

Es mi primer tabla de corte, no tengo mucha experiencia en cortar pero ya tenia ganas de comprar una tabla junto con un cortador rotativo, y la verdad no sabia que esperar ya que no conocia la marcaYa había visto algunas otras tablas de Olfa y otras marcas pero la verdad, por el precio y dado que no soy profesional ademas de que apenas voy aprendiendo pues no tenía mucho sentido comprar una tabla de uso más profesional (la más chica de Olfa supera los $400) y aparte tenia que comprar con el cortador.La calidad de los materiales y acabados son muy buenos tanto en la tabla como en el cortador, (además incluye discos de repuesto) la tabla es doble vista, verde por un lado y negra por el otro el cual se ve muy elegante y es mi preferido. Ambos lados graduados en centímetros y pulgadas y unos ángulos que casi no utilizoLa utilizo para cortar telas plásticas (lona, malla sombra, telas plastificadas y cintas gruesas de nylon) y me ha ayudado mucho tanto por el tamaño como por el grosor de la tabla y el peso. (No se mueve para nada) tiene algunas marcas que supuestamente se auto repara pero hay algunas que se han quedado marcadas las cuales fueron porque aplique mucha fuerza al cortar con el cortador pero la mayoría no dejan marcasEl cortador me parece bueno, viene con buen filo, es un antes y después para cortar con más precisión, (las cintas las deja sin residuos ó hilos sueltos) eso si hay que ser cuidadoso para evitar accidentes.Creo que la mejor parte fue el precio, me costó 611 pesos el tamaño más grande que es de 96X60 centímetros junto con el cortador rotativo y sus 5 cuchillas enviada por PrimeEn conclusión, la tabla es excelente, por el precio y tamaño es ilógico que cueste menos de 700 incluyendo el cortador y sus repuestosSi quieren comprar una olfa u otra marca adelante, pero la calidad de esta marca me ha dejado muy satisfecho y la recomiendo ampliamente
