Perfect for DIY candle making.
This mat cutter works way better than I expected for the price. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and I like that it works for both right and left-handed cutting. The cuts come out clean and precise, which makes my picture frames look professional. It’s definitely a handy tool if you enjoy DIY projects or want to save money on custom framing.

Cuts smoothly, works well for matting my old artwork
Cuts smoothly, works well for matting my old artwork. Like the comprehensive instructions it comes with – hadn’t cut matte in several years but instructions were clear to refresh my memory. Also appreciate that it can do straight and bevel cuts so I can use it for everything vs using my utility knife. Just wish it didn’t need to use a layer of scrap matte/cardboard for the bevel cuts – I don’t remember that being needed on the matte cutters I used in art school

Matt cutter
It looks like someone had this and send it back. But, I needed it fast so I went ahead and used it. Seems to work good once I get the cutting lines in the right place. Not where the arrows are. I would of liked what I paid for, NEW, not used

Travel, Show & sell your work with the best machine to show your talent.
This is a well made mattboard cutter of the Pull style both angle & straight. I’ve read the pro vs con of other machines and from use I can recommend this as working for me best. It takes a little practice to get the settings right notes & calibration marks help immensely. The other big advice is to change blades often for a smooth cut. Something else I plan but have not done yet is to make a carry box which should help if I make a few shows and matt images there.

Great addition to the craft room
The only reason I considered getting a cutting mat of the size was because I have a dedicated craft and hobby room where this now occupies a permanent spot on the side of my craft table. Definitely a nice addition if you work on larger craft projects.

Not Your Average Cutter — Finally, Bevel Cuts That Make Sense
I’ve used a few mat cutters over the years, and most of them felt like glorified straight edges with a blade. This one is different. It’s not your standard cutter, and that’s exactly why I got it.The best feature for me is the ability to do bevel cuts. If you’ve ever tried to frame artwork or photos with a mat that has a clean, angled edge around the opening, you know how much that subtle slope adds to the presentation. Bevel cuts aren’t just about looks — they help the mat sit better in the frame and give the whole piece a more finished feel. With this cutter, I can get consistent, precise bevels without the usual guesswork or awkward hand positioning.Setup was straightforward. The directions aren’t just about assembling the thing — they actually walk you through how to use it properly, which I appreciated. I didn’t feel like I had to hunt down a YouTube tutorial just to get started. It’s definitely on the larger side, but it doesn’t need a permanent spot in your work area. I keep mine stored away and pull it out when I need it. Setup takes a few minutes, tops, and then I’m off and cutting. That said, I do wish they’d put a little more thought into storage. The box it came in was thin and not reusable, and there’s no storage bag or case included. I ended up DIY-ing a solution, which feels oddly appropriate given the kind of projects this cutter is made for — but still, a little built-in storage consideration would’ve gone a long way. Not complaining just suggesting for future versions. If you’re doing DIY framing or just want your projects to look more polished, this cutter makes that possible — without turning your workspace into a permanent mat-cutting station.
