These wood slices are perfect for my resin wall hangings. I was worried about humidity making them crack but they have been perfect. I still have some and its been a year since I purchased them and theres still no cracking. I have bought them multiple times now since I love the product.

Harvested Wood from the U.S.A.
There are many different brands to chose from on Amazon, making it difficult to chose which one to buy. I settled on these because they were reasonably priced for the amount you received, they had high reviews and they are a U.S. based company. They specifically say that they are harvested from a tree farm in California. This is very important to me. I had previously ordered wooden bird feeders from Amazon that were made from a section of a tree where part of it was whittled out and a screen was attached where the bird seed could be eaten by the birds. When I received them, they had worm holes all over them. I then read from their site again on Amazon and realized they were made in China. I was truly shocked. This really disturbed me since I don’t want to introduce some type of tree disease or worm from China on my property. I was also stunned that the U.S. would even allow something like this to be imported here. I am so glad I purchased these and I was very impressed with the quality. They were all about the same size, they were a beautiful grain of wood and very flat and smooth since they obviously had been sanded perfectly. They also were a little thicker than I thought they would be and that was nice. We used them for our nieces and nephews to make and paint Christmas ornaments and they turned out so cute. Before I wrote this review, I looked at other customer’s reviews and I was surprised to see that some of the ones they had received had cracks in them. Mine did not and were perfect. It appears like this is a relatively new company and it seems like they have remedied this problem. If I had received mine this way, I would have definitely returned them. The only reason I marked this down a star is because a small piece of the bark easily came off two of the pieces when the kids were painting them. It was an easy fix with some wood glue. I noticed another reviewer also mentioned this and I am guessing that this is a problem with any brand that you purchase since these pieces would start drying out after they are removed from the tree. I definitely would purchase these again from this company, especially because it is a U.S. company and I know the tree pieces are harvested from the U.S. If the description does not say where they are harvested from, then I would not purchase them.

DIY useable
Very small, but made them work I glued a gold metal hexagon and some flowers on to it to use as a base as a center piece! You can use this for any DIY!

These are really lovely wood slices, consistent thickness and very similar sizes. I wanted them to add to a plain hedgehog feeding station to make it just a little bit more insect-friendly for our varied garden wildlife.I’m also glad to have a couple left over for a different craft project.I’ve left them untreated, as I want them to weather in and eventually rot a little. The bark is extremely soft, and the outer layer does break off easily, but for my purposes, that’s perfect. I believe that issue will be tree-dependent, so I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. It could always be trwated with a matt wood varnish to give it extra hold if that’s a problem with any others.The surface of the wood is nice and smooth, and lends itself to easy painting & burning without any prep needing to be done.My order arrived quickly and well-packaged, and if I need more in future, I will definitely buy these again.

I ordered the wood slices for a craft project. They are the perfect size & came in great shape. I had ordered from Deseret Book Company the “If the Savior Stood Beside Me Picture Set” , which is on order. I will be taking these beautiful pictures and going to mod podge them onto the wood slices. I will then drill a little hole, attach some jute twine, add a ribbon and then hang on my Christmas tree. I saw this craft on Pinterest I think and loved the idea.Yes, some of the bark has come off the wood slices, but no big deal, I will mod podge or hot glue or use E6000 glue to re attach the bark back on. I’ll figure it out. Yes I would recommend this product.
