Where was this all-inclusive tool set when I was just starting out with my Cricut? My original tool set cost me more than this entire bundle, which has so much more!I always hear the same questions from people new to die-cutting machines: “What do I need?” and “Where do I start?” This is a great way to explore your new passion without spending a fortune. This kit by Convend is an excellent way to try your hand at many creative possibilities, from paper crafts to personalized home decor and clothing.Tools & MatsThe kit includes a full set of seven tools, all with a convenient hole for hanging on a pegboard. The scissors are excellent and sharp. The only thing I found odd is that the blade on the X-Acto knife doesn’t appear to be replaceable, and no refills were included.Two mats are also included: a StandardGrip Mat (Green) for general use and a LightGrip Mat (Blue) for more delicate materials. Both seem comparable to the official Cricut mats and fit my Cricut Maker 3 perfectly. They easily held a 12-inch square piece of cardstock and vinyl and should work just as well with the Explore series.Paper Cutter & Light PadI love having a 13-inch paper cutter with a dual-directional blade; it’s so much easier than pulling my old, heavy guillotine-style cutter out of the closet. The cutter is sleek and black, has inch marks, and even comes with an extra replacement blade. It easily cut through four pieces of scrapbook paper at once, giving me crisp and clean results.The large, flat, black LED light pad is a huge bonus. It’s not only great for weeding vinyl, but I also use it for my Diamond Art paintings, which makes a huge difference. The pad has three light settings for eye comfort, and I love any tool that I can use for more than one purpose!Vinyl & Other SuppliesI customized a couple of t-shirts with the included Glitter and regular HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl). Both shirts came out well, but be sure to adjust your iron’s heat and time settings accordingly. The vinyl comes in a rainbow of colors, and the transfer tape did a great job of holding everything in place while I worked.I also tried the Matte sticker paper to create labels for the back of my handmade cards. The images and lettering reproduced cleanly, and I was able to remove the cut labels from the backing without any issues. The kit also includes Heat Transfer Paper, which you can use with your computer and home printer.This large kit has everything you could wish for in one convenient package, all stored in a nice box. This is perfect for a novice just starting out with their cutting machine or an experienced user looking to branch out. It’s also a great gift idea at a fraction of the cost!

Vinyl Starter Kit
This box, quite literally, has everything you need to start using your circuit/cutting machine.You have your tools that normally as a kit cost more than this entire box.There’s a trimmer, that’s invaluable when you are trying to cut your vinyl.There’s the light box which I absolutely love. You lay your vinyl on it, and when it’s lit up, you can weed your vinyl much easier.There are several types of vinyl. There’s HTV, regular vinyl and sticker vinyl. It comes with transfer paper, which I’d much needed when you work with vinyl.2 mats come in the box, one for each type of vinyl.They’re the perfect size for larger projects or small ones.I can’t say enough about the value and what all you get in this box. You cannot get tools, vinyl and accessories for this price.If you’re wondering if this is worth it, don’t second guess it. It’s definitely worth it!

Wonderful kit!
I’m really excited about this wonderful kit. I wish I was more experienced at this, but I’m a beginner with no experience. So, with that said, I haven’t made any actual projects yet, but I’m very excited to try this with my kids. There are lots of basic tools and accessories included. I’m a very frugal person, so I expect I’ll have to do a lot of research and practice before I attempt any big projects. I’m thinking I need to start small. The great thing about this kit, is it seems to have just about everything I need to get started. I’m looking forward to figuring out how this all works.

good for starting out
I have mixed feelings about this set.On the one hand it has a great deal of different products and many are great if just starting out using a Cricut machine.On the other hand some of the items I feel should be a bit better qualtiy.You do get plenty with this one and if you did not get some of these tools with your machine this is a great set to have on hand while learning and that way not using your really pricy nice sheets so there is that.Then once you get the hang of it can use your nicer sheets for your projects.Overall though it is decent enough and you do get plenty to work with at this price point.
