Good basic cutter
This is definitely not the -best- rotary cutter. However, it’s an excellent buy for the price, and it definitely works. The bonus wave and dashed blades are a a great value add! The action is smooth, and it is very easy to use. I’ve had sharper – if you have a problematic or finicky material to use, this cutter may prove not to be up to the job. But for the regular cotton cloth I mostly cut, it’s perfectly serviceable.

The first thing I noticed upon handling this is that there is no guard for the blade. This seems rather dangerous to me, because the blades are super sharp. I use a rotary cutter mostly for sewing but also some crafting at home. I ordered this one for work, so at least there won’t be any little hands around, but it still makes me nervous that if I handled or stored this carelessly I could easily hurt myself. I will store it in the retail box it came in to prevent any accidental contact, but not having a blade guard seems like a serious and reckless oversight that I wish I’d noticed it before I ordered this.

fun to use!
this thing is the bomb! i don’t know how i’ve lived so long without one of these. i’m an artist who dabbles in collage and mixed media work and occasionally does all manner of crafting. i learned about the concept of a rotary cutter from a collage/gelli print artist i follow online – he uses it to cut up his gelli prints to make collages. so i thought maybe it would be useful to me, make things easier. and wow, it makes cutting stuff up fun! i love it! it takes a little getting used to to get accurate with it but it’ll come in time. but it cuts really well and saves you the time and effort of using scissors or a craft knife. now you can’t get as detailed as a craft knife, but for bigger cuts, it’s great. this one comes with 8 replacement blades including wavy and dashed line cuts and has a safety button so you don’t accidentally hurt yourself. it’s very ergonomic and feels good in your hand and apparently works equally as well in right or left hands – you can install the blade on either side. (i’m right handed and it feels great!)i realize this item is intended to cut fabric and i can’t really speak to that as i don’t work with fabric but i imagine it is just as good with fabric as it is with various thickness of paper that i tested.

Great Rotary cutter with replaceable blades.
Sharp, safe, easy to handle and they come with plenty of replacement blades and sheering (wave) blades and a perforation blade to boot. As you can see from the included video, these things are sharp. They fit comfortably into your hand, being well balanced. The blades are sharp and what I really like, they are easily replaceable. I’ve had rotary cutters before, but changing the blades were a pain in the arse. Perfect for people who have difficulty cutting fabric
I can’t believe I never got one of these before. Especially for cutting fabric. Getting the right cutting tool for my sewing supplies has been a lot of hit or miss . With majority misses. I honestly didn’t realize how tiresome cutting fabric can be. Even with high quality high priced scissors I can get annoyed at the uneven cutting I sometimes do. This rotary blade is perfect for achieving straight even cuts in a single slice and because I only use it on fabric it till last for a longer time. I appreciate the extra blades too it’s great having different blades for different projects if I need them. The handle grip is also how the blade gets exposed making it simple to use and when it’s not used the blade goes back down and is safely protected from damage. The entire thing is extremely lightweight so it is great for large projects since it doesn’t weigh much at all

So besides this cutter, I have 4 other rotary cutters. Somehow this one is the SHARPEST cutter I own. The handle is really nice and the blade cuts through my fabric with barely any pressure applied. And you get SO MANY replacement blades! It’s great!
