This horizontal extension kit adds extra seat travel to certain Platinum Health transfer benches. Wider tubs sometimes require more horizontal travel so that the user can be properly positioned in the center of the tub. By adding this horizontal extension kit, an additional travel will be possible.

Wider tubs may call for a bath transfer bench with more horizontal travel, so the user can be positioned properly in the center of the bathtub. Our extension kit adds an additional 4 inches of travel making this possible.
EASY INSTALL: These rails for your transfer bench shower chair can be easily installed with no tools required. The whole entire tub transfer bench extension kit can be installed in less than 5 minutes!
COMPATIBILITY: The kit includes 2 replacement rails that are ONLY compatible with our Gateway & Carousel sliding transfer bench models. The kit will NOT work with the Bariatric Carousel.
STURDY CONSTRUCTION: Each extension attachment is made from lightweight yet rock-solid aluminum. The durable construction will be hard to rust, and helps prevent any wobbling, shaking, or tipping of the shower chair for inside shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note the overall length of the adjustable bench will be increased by 4 inches with this extended kit. These are 28 inch rails that will swap out the original 24 inch rails, giving you an extended tub bench with an extra 4 inches. Please be sure to measure your tub carefully prior to ordering to ensure a proper fit.

Buy if you need to extend the chair out further. For us, my Wife could not bring the chair out far enough for her to use walker efficiently. So this solved the issue. I think the chair could of came with tubes another 12″ long so we didn’t need to replace them, but they didn’t. For an extra $60 to do so, in my opinion, it should of not been necessary.

Fits well but reassembly is a pain.
After taking the legs and seat off, I got confused and the seat was reversed. So now it means I take it apart again. I suggest marking the seat and new tubes so they are reassembled correctly. Like different colored tape.

There is a deflection (bow)
There is a deflection (bow) when an average weight person sits on the chair. The deflection made this unusable for my tub. Count on a 1/2 inch for clearances below structure

Swivel shower sliding chair horizontal leg extensions
We knew from the past purchase of the shower sliding chair, non-swivel seat that the horizontal leg extensions would be needed so we ordered the legs along with the shower sliding chair, swivel seat and assembly was simple. Satisfied with this purchase.

Bows in the middle
I weigh 150 and it bows in the middle very dangerous and it could be another 1 inch taller as it close to rubbing the top up my tub I am paralyzed from the waist down and it seems very dangerous but like the cushion seat and the swivel seat and the hand rails on both sidesAnd it could be about 6to 8 inches longer
