A lot of fun when you play the angles!
We’ve now played several rounds of this new Rebounce game with friends and family. Our family plays a lot of ball sports and party games. And our kids have energy to burn.So we were a good match for an “indoor active play” game like this one—and it has been a hit right out of the box. That said, It does require some basic throw and catch skills. So it may not be for everybody— including younger kids that are still developing those skills. And it’s fair to think it might get boring pretty quickly if players just passively bounce the ball back and forth like some reviewers have noted. But for us, the game strategy and potential for fun became evident pretty quickly…once we started throwing crazy angles, high bounces, and dribble drop shots. The kids really got into this ‘angled bouncing’ feature—and tried a variety of ways to get their opponents to drop the ball. They also got into hitting the score button and ‘taking the point’ at the end of each point battle. One huge difference from the outdoor game spike-ball (where you bounce and bat the ball around a trampoline), is that this game is a bounce and CATCH game. So rebounce rallies tend to be longer, and have a lot more shot variety with each throw.2-players: The two-player game is a bit like a singles tennis match, and requires more “court coverage” and skill (using both hands!) to anticipate the throw angles—that can be wide, high or short dribblers.4-players: The four player game is a lot more frenetic and social (and sharing the court coverage reqs helps younger players to participate). Our kids went into full ‘beat the parents’ mode.Set up: The trampoline just needs to located on any waist-high table or countertop, where players can stand and face one another on opposing sides.Safety: The ball is feather-light foam so errant throws don’t knock stuff over.Throwing: The reality is that it can be just as challenging to bounce the ball successfully off the trampoline…as it is to catch the ball on one bounce. So our house rule is that ANY rim-shot, whether it registers a bounce sound or not, is NOT a valid bounce…and the thrower loses the point. This rule encourages aiming for the center of the trampoline, and minimizes players just throwing as hard as they can at the trampoline. Note: we added a red dot in to the middle of our trampoline to provide a visual target to hit.Catching: You have to be ready to catch balls coming at you at crazy angles side to side, up high, AND short dribbler drop shots bouncing off the trampoline. The crazy bounces are what makes the game challenging, unpredictable and fun.Low volume Pro-tip!: You can press and hold the start button to put it into low-volume mode. Low-volume is plenty loud for our ears in most settings. Tape over the speaker also works ;).Game modes:1) Rebounce: This is the default mode, and is the core game experience. The song kinda grates after awhile (see low volume tip above!), but this game does deliver a lot of fun frenetic play.2) Remix: Essentially a “freeze tag” type play where you lose the point if you bounce it in the “freeze” moment while the music has stopped. It slows play down but requires more discipline to stay in the point.3) Reflex: This is our family’s favorite game and rhythm track. It progressively shortens the time allowed between bounces–so it quickly becomes an adrenaline game of “pepper. Prepare to get sweaty!PROS:*A lot of game and fun for the money*Great for kids, families and adults*Indoor energy burner for rainy days*Familiar play and scoring to other ball sports we playCONS*Challenging/frustrating for non-ball sport folks and younger kids*Music is an ear worm (and maybe not in a great way!?)*Score announcement between points could be faster*Bounce sound is repetitive so it could be more compelling*Should have a target “bullseye” in the middle of the trampoline (we added one!)All things considered, Rebounce is a great value and a 5-star winner in our house.

OK
OK game. It was easy to set up, simple instructions and overal minimalistic design. It requires x 3 AAA batteries that are NOT included, but no biggie. Once you pop the batteries in, you are ready to go without any need for convoluted video instructions on how to play (like some board and card games we own). The game play itself was OK. My kids usually love board games but after few rounds of this game they were done with it (or maybe just tired). For the price I expeceted a little more. I would say two members of our family are very active with sports and they enjoyed this game a little more than the rest of the family. So it is not for everyone. But we will definately give this another try on our next family night.

Fun active game kids love.
We play pickleball in the nice weather. I was looking for something we could play inside on rainy or snowy days. This is a fun little game, and fit my needs well.

Not my thing
Rebounce was fine, just not really my thing. I can see kids or families getting a kick out of it—it’s fast, easy to learn, and has that arcade-style energy with lights and sounds. But for me, it got old pretty quick. The novelty wore off after a few rounds, and it didn’t feel like something I’d reach for again. That said, I can totally see it being a hit at a kid’s party or with a more competitive crowd. Fun idea, just not for my age group or attention span.

Fun, Terrific Game
This is a really fun, terrific game. I am in my 40’s and played the game with my mother, who is in her 70’s, but I think anybody would enjoy it who is able to throw a small ball. We had a blast! There is initially a small amount of setup — it requires 3 AAA batteries (which I already had that I purchased on Amazon) and a small Phillips screwdriver to open the battery case (I used the one on my pocketknife). Once you’re playing, it’s fantastic. We liked the three different modes (she won “Rebounce” mode and “Remix” mode, I won “Reflex” mode). The bounce is satisfying and the two players or teams hit the buttons to keep track of the points earned. I liked that the ball stored neatly underneath the trampoline for later. Glad to add this game to my list of fun things to do when I have company!

Fantastic Bday present
We had a birthday coming up for our 14 yr. old daughter and went searching for a gift. She’s a softball player and love’s ball sports. After looking high and low we came across Rebounce and decided to give it a try. When she unwrapped it and saw it was Rebounce, she let out a “YEAH!”… she’d heard about it from friends and was super excited to get it! We set it up on our living room table and have been playing it for days! What a great birthday present it turned out to be… It’s been a big hit at our house!!

Rebounce game
We had a lot of fun with this game. It’s great fun for all ages.I’m a middle-aged woman, and I played it with my teenage kids and we all had a blast. It requires batteries and a little bit of time to set it up and to figure out how to play the game. It’s a good way to not be watching TV or on our phones and for all of us to get together and have some good old-fashioned fun.But overall, it’s a good game for the price.

Great family game
Lots of fun. We had a family gathering and three generations attended and all enjoyed playing this game. Lots of noise, lights and action. Really loved it.
