    A beautiful deck all around
I absolutely love this deck. I have a couple of other versions of the original Rider-Waite-Smith deck—as any tarot enthusiast should. However, I rarely find myself working with any of those decks. I’ll occasionally pull one out, but I’m just not drawn to them. This deck is different. Several reviews point out the darker colors or “dirty” images of this deck as key points they do not like. I personally love the darker coloring of this deck and am not bothered by the “dirty Pam” artwork in the least. At least one reviewer says these are printed on cheap paper. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The cardstock is heavy and strong. The cards are a high gloss, which some will like and others will not. The multi-rose backing is gorgeous. And the lack of borders around the art (and backing) are highly appealing features in my opinion.Furthermore, Lo Scarabeo ships the deck in a sturdy box that functions beautifully as a show-worthy storage box. The top slides off easily and the package feels very safe. Nice little booklet included as well.If this deck has caught your eye, I say buy it right away!

Is this a newly improved version of the “Dirty Pam”?
I was pleasantly surprised by this deck: a new card stock with a satin finish has replaced the very glossy lamination. I don’t own any other version, but I often heard how glossy the cards used to be. These are not. Plus, the golden edges are a nice touch.

Excellent and affordable RWS deck, no borders.
I’ve had the same Rider deck that I bought in 1978, but have not used it very much for decades. The two things I didn’t like about it, after using many other decks is for many years, is that it is visually kind of washed out and pale. The other thing is that Waite’s Little White Book borders on incomprehensibility, it is full of fluffy and vague wordings and sometimes it seems like he’s never seen nor used the cards before writing about them. I’ve been told that he was ‘coding’ the meanings, so I guess things have changed since the 1900s.This RWS based deck has some nice things going for it. First, it is very affordable. I got mine for $17 and had free shipping. Lots of decks are priced very high, three+ times the cost of this one, and I hesitate to try them for fear of feeling that I wasted too much money on a unusable but pretty whim. Second, the colorings are nice and lush and use a much broader palette than the originals and the backgrounds have a bit more oomph! I like that a lot! Next, the borders are gone and the images trimmed and the text labels are nicer, and I like that, too (makes me want to trim some other decks!). The cards are durable and thick, which I also like. Next, the Little White Book is not little or white, but does a very decent coverage of all the cards basics and actually provides good info! And the whole thing comes in a good box that will likely last a long while. Overall, an excellent deck, especially for beginners! If you are a purist or collector you might not like it, but at this price I found it hard to resist. And I’m very glad I bought it, it has brought me back to using RWS again for normal readings for the first time in decades! Now, despite my five star rating, there are a few minor things that are less than perfect and I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. First, the deck is very shiny and reflective, so you may first it hard to see in bright, direct light. Some folks I know don’t like thicker cards, so if you prefer thin and wispy cards you may not like these. Also, the English text in the book is good, but really could use some copy editing by a third party as I’ve found more than a few typos. The book could use a bit more on layouts, beginners should probably avoid the Celtic Cross until they have some smaller layouts in hand, so that’s one area the book could use rewriting or expanding. But, all in all, I think this is an excellent deck and at this price you can’t go wrong! I you are new to tarot this is a decent choice. If you have long been away from RWS decks, this might draw you back.

    Nice Deck and Good Quality
Vibrant color and so much details in this deck. It will be more of a green-ish color on this deck. I’m surprised that it’s a golden glided on the side. I thought it would be just paper. I don’t know if this is a new production or not but I like it. It’s not too thick so won’t be hard to shuffle.

Beautiful version of the classic Rider Waite, in a lovely box. 10/10
Like: everything. Dislike: nothing :)what to know: this is a version of the classic Rider Waite deck. the cards are standard size, but the pictures are slightly bigger, with deeper, move vivid / vibrant colours. I love it! to achieve the above, the cards are a little ‘zoomed out’ so the white border on the cards is gone – the picture fills the full card.the cards are a little ‘slippery’ due to the gloss, and.. to be honest.. feel a little flimsy… Some of my other decks are thicker, and feel more solid. But it’s not a big thing, just a small observation.the cards are packed in a beautiful lovely box, made of thick card, which i didnt expect.overal – i love this deck! the best version of Rider Waite Smith i have seen so far. am delighted with them!

My favorite version of a classic card deck!
I think they are more pleasant to look at than the originals I have. I love the full picture card look without the white borders. I also like the rustic aged look that they gave the cards. They look more like old paintings. The boldness of the outlines are nice too. Everyone has their opinions and personal likes and dislikes but for me I really get into the images on these cards more than the regular. The box they came in is very sturdy and I love the lift off top feature. I think this whole package is neat to own and was worth buying! The coloring is more rich and deep. Some people might think that they look dirty and spotty. But this is part of the effects to make them look old. My new favorite deck for sure!

The large size cards are great in design and justify the extra cost over small cards

All the cards were delivered intact. The images are amazing. I immediately felt strong resonance with so many of the cards. My very first deck and I love it!

PERFEITO!
