Our Company History

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter and later, his wife, Edna sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy and our customers’ expectations of beauty, quality, and value.

Peace of Mind Planner is Ideal
This Peace of Mind Planner is a completely thorough information organizer. I searched high and low to find the perfect planner and this one beat them all. It’s layout, the comprehensive sections, and the book’s durable construction is the central place that consolidates your personal, financial, medical, and business details. A priceless tool that will ensure your family is fully prepared and aware of important matters with peace of mind knowing affairs are being processed the way you want them.

Lovely book, but if you are sensitive to odors, you may not like it.
The Peace of Mind Planner arrived quickly in perfect condition. It’s made very well. The coil binding is sturdy and the paper is heavy. The categories are well-organized, and the fields are concise and clearly worded. The lines are wide-spaced and there’s plenty of room for the user to add a lot of notes. The pages turn easily and lie flat. The user can initially skip around and fill in what they know; then, the remaining blank fields will prompt the user for what to do next. That sounds simple because it is. So this book is good for anyone, but especially for seniors, for people who are not computer-literate, or for people like me who need simple, organized prompts to handle the chaos of data that accumulates in our lives. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five has only to do with the cloying, chemical odor, kind of like glue. The odor may not be strong enough to bother the average person, but I am hypersensitive to odors, and would become ill if I handled this book for more than a minute. I’m not returning it, though. I’m keeping it because it is so well-designed and is exactly what I need. What I’ll do is keep it in another room and refer to it as a template for making my own end-of-life planner which I’ll do by typing up and printing my info and putting it in a binder.

Excellent place to keep all your information for children or executors
This is very helpful and gathering important information. Should you be unable to answer certain questions due to illness or death? It’s good to leave for the kids. Everything in one place and I definitely would say anything like this should be very helpful.

    Does give peace of mind
I love the quality and feel of Peter Pauper Press products. This is no different.Well organized, thoughtful categories. There are sections I don’t need (I don’t have a business, house, or kids) because they’re simply not relevant to me, but I think it’s good that it’s comprehensive. It helps you think of what kind of information you should gather, and keeps you from forgetting things. The print is kind of large, which feels like a waste of space to me. But, I am in my 20’s and I realize the main demographic that buys this product is probably 3 times my age. So even though I don’t personally like that about it, I realize it is a thoughtful feature. It has tabs (that do not sick out today the page) at the beginning of each section. It starts over at the top halfway through, so when opening the book you can only see the labels for half the sections. Of course to make them all visible, the first half pages would have to be smaller and lose space. Not a huge inconvenience, just being thorough.Overall, I would recommend this product. I can’t really make full use of it at this point in my life, but it is very useful for helping me think of what kind of things to get organized. My husband and I have nothing had some family members pass and their affairs were a mess. It’s a big stress on the surviving family members in an already difficult time. I also work in insurance and see people all the time who have no idea about their family member’s policies. Those things have made me aware and even though it will hopefully not be necessary for several more decades, it does give me some peace of mind.Btw, it says to list who you’ve told about it. But because of my age I wish I hadn’t done that and just made sure it would be easy to find.

    Peace of Mind Planner
This is a wonderful book. It has everything in it for your family to know when you pass. It’s hard cover. The pages are thick enough so the ink doesn’t bleed through. Besides my will, I wanted my son to know what he needs to do and to get ahold of when it’s time

    Definitely need to purchase ⭐+10
I’ve been viewing 2-3 different books about end of life circumstances. My father who happens to be 87 years of age, who has Parkinson’s disease has had a few strokes in the past year ,And has a partial dementia due to PD Is that the end of his life. My mother changed all their “Ownerships” over to her name, so if anything Happens she doesn’t lose her home. This book covers pretty much covers everything to put your requirements all in one area. Even things most of us might not even understand. Literally this is an amazing book that I so need growing older. The things I enjoyed the most about the book Are the areas where they ask you what are your “wishes”. Enough areas to put your living Will in order to have someone legally authorize it. Seriously you need to purchase this book if you are ever thinking of doing so. The cost is way low than most places even to go into a physical store. I definitely will be purchasing more as gifts for my loved ones.

A good book but there is a better one……
“I’m Dead Now What?” Is much better than this book for the same purpose. Unless you want a book which is more detailed for many businesses you might have, which this books covers in detail, the this book for most people is not what they really need to prepare those you leave behind a smooth transition as possible for finances to wishes to final words. I wish both books had inside cover pockets to add material or even better several pages of see through plastic envelope pages for small documents, etc. I purchased both and returned this one since it was repetitive to the “I’m Dead” book plus like I said was more useful for what I have and wanted to leave. I am happy to see such books out there since they are needed for those of us who are wise enough to prepare for our deaths.

This is a great book. Its not a will. But it has all the extra information you will need. There is a few didn’t covers to this book. It lists all the things you wouldn’t think about.

Peace of Mind Planner ~ this book is so helpful, and will be once we are unable to help ourselves or pass away as our family lives elsewhere so they will be able to find everything they need. Great idea and have passed this on to lots of friends.
