Great pen!
This is a great pen. Firstly, all 3d pens are unreliable due to the nature of their design. Thats why so many reveiws express issues. Some part or another is cheap and doesnt hold up. Many are as good as trash when they become faulty because you cant replace the faulty parts. The heating element in this pen is the faulty part. This is my 3rd 3D pen. The other two brands broke and are not servicable. This unit can be taken apart and serviced if need be. 3D pens and printers are a hobby and like most hobbies it can be rather expensive when breakdowns occur. If you’re a hobbyist, spending 30 to 50 bucks every several months to keep producing art is really not that much. This pen is lighter than others which makes it seem a little cheap but the features show the quality. Unlike other pens, this one will feed the plastic 2 ways. First, you can hold the button which stops the feed when released or you can double click the feed button and it will continuously feed which is nice for larger areas. The heating range is adjustable in 1 degree increments which is nice for acheiving the appropriate flow and consistency as each plastic is different and use different temps. The gnome house in the picture i attached was made using wood filament. Overall, its a good pen. Ive only been using it for a few days so i can’t speak for its longevity, but ive got about 15 hours on it with no issues. Customer service seems to be readily available for any issues you may have. I am pleased with this purchase. I was happy with the other 2 brands i purchased but they just didnt hold up. Hopefully I can update this at a later time with an equally positive review. Happy printing!

Highly recommend!! Great features
Purchased as a gift for granddaughter and she was thrilled! She’s 10 and extremely creative (also a PERFECTIONIST,, so we tried watching a few HOW TO videos to ensure success out of the gate ..)It was good to see that some things shown on ticktock are not realistic without MUCH EXPERIENCE… (this was a good precursor for us to view for sure!!)Regardless.. the first hour was a bit rough…She got very frustrated for the first hour saying she hated this thing…After much encouragement and pushing forward on a detailed project— she completed and was quite pleased! 😍🤪I tried to encourage her to start with something basic like tracing shapes on the plastic to get the hang of it, the desired speed, etc… but true to her personally, she refused and insisted on tackling something complex FIRST!ANYWAY, she loves it now…We definitely recommend..This one seemed to have best reviews and features. We ordered a case and package of extra filament which REALLY excited her .. the pen only comes with a few small rolls of colors like blue, black, white.. (might read package to verify the colors)..Also, we had some dollar tree slide in plastic slip holders that worked great to slide her picture into that she wanted to use as her template for creating a Stitch Christmas Tree ornament…Videos we watched suggested having something like that to be able to easily peel off your creation… Doing onto paperv often leaves the paper attached permanently… Soaking off with water might help if you accidentally encounter that..Have fun!I did reviews on the other filament & case too..

So far so good.
Nice pen. Simple to operate and so far, no problems at all. An LCD screen is the only way to fly.Nice storage box with magnetic closure…These kits get rearranged all the time, and the included “extra heating element” they mentioned was not included, so I purchased one here at Amazon… only a few bucks. I like having a backup.I don’t draw with it. I use it mostly for 3D printing work, building objects, repairs, welding plastic pieces together, and so forth. I use a soldering iron, hotmelt glue gun, welder… various things…. but this pen shuts itself down.(Update May ’23: The auto-shutdown is driving me nuts. There’s no battery so why do it every 2 minutes. All my other tools are hot, and sit there waiting for this pen to reheat. Jobs take more time. Auto-shutdown is actually wasting energy.)When I reach for it, I know I’ll have to press a button, sit there, and wait for it to reheat. By the time it does, whatever I’m working on probably cooled and hardened, and that also needs re-heating.This is a constant, and I suspect will be a perpetual annoyance.I’d like to eliminate that 2 minute auto-shut-down. I bet it’s as easy as plugging the pen into a computer USB port, and reprogramming one number…I made a spool and holder to fit this pen. It holds about 25 feet of filament. If you know someone with a 3D printer, they can find the STL print files on Thingiverse and print one for you….Go to Thingiverse dot com and search for “Spool for MYNT3D Pro 3D Pen”.One other thing… The provided USB cord is the stiff kind. Not a soft, silicone type…. You gotta fight the weight and stiffness of the cord. The cord is stamped with a 300 volts rating. That might be a little overkill…
