    A Set That Carries Imagination!
When the package arrived yesterday, the kids’ excitement was written all over their faces. As soon as they opened the box and saw the vibrant paints, ceramic coasters, and all the tools inside, they couldn’t wait. They prepared the liquid solution in the evening, and first thing in the morning they sat at the table to get started. My son made a beautiful coaster with his own color choices as a gift for his aunt, and my daughter, who loves reading, created a marble-patterned bookmark for herself. The process wasn’t just about the finished product; it was about watching them think together, experiment, and patiently work through different designs—a truly enriching experience. In moments like this, you realize that in their little world, very big things are actually growing. From a technical perspective, the quality of the set is impressive. The 12 acrylic paints included are more vivid and highly pigmented than I expected; when mixed, the colors don’t muddy but instead create rich, layered effects. The ceramic coasters are thick and durable, with a smooth surface that holds the paint beautifully, resulting in designs that look almost professional. Having bookmarks and cardstock included means the set isn’t limited to just coasters—you can try many different projects. For example, kids can design unique greeting cards, make colorful gift tags, or even create framed art pieces to hang on their wall. The marbling tools, like the comb and sticks, make it easy for them to experiment with a variety of patterns. The comb, in particular, creates gorgeous wave-like effects. One of the biggest advantages of the kit is the clarity of the step-by-step instructions. Even a child with no prior experience can follow along easily. The drying time is reasonable, and the paints retain their brightness once dry. What stood out most to me is how much this kit supports development: it strengthens hand-eye coordination, teaches patience, and gives kids the freedom to unleash their imagination. We’ve only had it for two days, and I can already tell that it will hold their interest for weeks to come—this will likely be the main activity they’ll want to return to again and again. All in all, this set is not just a fun craft activity—it’s also a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore their talents. You never know which material or design might spark a breakthrough in a child’s creativity, but this kit contains everything you need to light that spark. From start to finish, it delivers quality, inspiration, and an experience the whole family can enjoy together.

    Great project
This marble coaster painting kit was so much fun. It was my first time trying anything like this and it was a great, messy, and creative time. The kit had great instructions and was easy to use. The colors are bright and bold.If you’ve been wanting to try marble painting, I’d highly recommend this product.

Can be messy, but lots of fun
This is a really fun activity with maybe 10 years and up to adult. Younger would be OK with more supervision, but it definitely could get messy. It’s something unique that you don’t see every day making your own coasters. The colors / patterns came out nice, not as good as they look on the box but overall they were good enough to give us presents to family members. Overall, I’m happy

    Fun for kids and adults
The Marble Painting Coaster kit comes with everything you need to make four coasters, three bookmarks (including tassels) or just pretty designs on paper. This allows you to do several projects at once or have your kids or grandkids all do a project. Fun for the whole family to do together. Once you have used all the provided surfaces and/or powder, you can use the included acrylic paints for other projects.Make sure you supervise children as this can get very messy and because you have to mix powders with water and then add ink and you want to make sure they don’t drink the colorful mixture. It’s great that it comes with instructions and an instruction video QR code to watch. The instructions also give you tips on how to swirl the paint to get different patterns.Make sure you mix your powder and water at least eight hours before you plan to craft so the powder will all dissolve. It’s hard to predict how much you need to mix if only doing a couple of the projects at a time so make sure you have enough surfaces to use so as not to waste it. Then add the colors of ink that you wish to use. You dip your project then watch the beauty unfold. Be careful not to submerge the paper or the coaster. Dip the coaster face only or include the sides but be mindful your fingers will also be holding the sides. It comes with styluses and a comb to mix and make nice patterns. And if you want to change ink colors, use a regular piece of paper to absorb the floating ink and then add different colors to the mixture.Let your projects dry overnight and enjoy them. I would recommend this product. Especially for a family night of fun.

    Prepare Ahead Before Use
This is a pretty fun kit, but it takes some advance preparation, and as you can imagine, it has the potential to get really messy. The manufacturer offers an instructional video. Watch it and also read the instruction pamphlet that comes with the set. There are a couple of places where the instructions are not crystal clear. It talks about adding “1 spool of carageenan powder” to 1 cup of warm water. Nothing in the package is labeled as “carageenan powder”, however there are three envelopes labeled “powder”. It means to open one of those and measure it with the little white spoon included in the kit. I used 2 cups of water, which I thought was a more workable amount, with 2 scoops of powder. They really don’t prepare you for how hard it is to dissolve the carageenan. I used a whisk, and it did NOT want to disperse. It formed big clots that just floated around. It did say to leave it for 8 – 12 hours, which I did, and the clots eventually seem to have dissolved. The instructions for putting the paint onto the solution are fine. They did not mention, however, that once you have dipped your items, they are going to be dripping wet and you will need a place for them to dry where they will not stain the furniture or get disturbed during the drying process. Old newspapers or some plastic would probably work. Also, paint will get all over your fingers as you dip your items. It mostly washes off, but I have a few blue streaks that are lingering. This is a good kit. It works well. I don’t recommend it for unguided children who are younger than teenagers.
