Mini-Aid Kits | Portable, Lightweight, Water-Resistant Case with Travel-Friendly CarabinersThis 3 pack of mini first-aid kits is actually a really, really good set for a couple reasons. The first thing I was a little surprised and happy about was when I opened the box and found these are not cheap little squishy water resistant ‘fabric’ cases like most affordable mini kits are. These are little hard body cases that don’t get smooshed in your backpack, purse, car, desk, etc. They are similar to the little zipper cases used for electric games, etc. That alone makes them a great value even before you open them.Inside is the typical finds for the most part – a few of ‘everything’ from various sizes little bandages to tape, to a couple basic creams, etc. but it ends up they have a couple additions none of my previous little first aid kits had – including a decent pair of small scissors and decent saline wipes as well as noseplugs.Having been in the middle of nowhere in a tiny town on the prairie with a population of 53 when an elderly relative fell and got scraped up and a few cuts; out of about 100 family reunion members, only 2 of us had readily available first aid kits either on us or easy-to-grab little kits in the side pocket of our car doors. After that I became a huge proponent of making sure all my adult kids and my parents all have little kits. These kits are probably one of the best I’ve found – AND you can add or delete from them to personalize them to your needs. The carabiners are great for attaching to your pack, the stoller, diaper bag, etc. as well as your belt loop or any other place you might need to ‘grab and go’.

Very solid mini first aid kit that doesn’t try to do too much, and ends up being just right
The Good:* True to the description, it contains everything listed* The cases are good quality that hold everything well without wasted space or crushing the contents* These are small enough to keep in a bag or glove box for quick access* Each kit contains quite a bit of “kit”. It’s not a trauma bag, but it’s not designed to be one either.* The contents are well thought out as that first grab for small issues* The price for 3 is great ($25.99 for 3 at time of review)The Meh:* There are a few little things that you just need to be aware of. First is the larger pads are just the right size to get wedged in, so they take a bit of fiddling to get them out. Second, the scissors actually cut really well, but they are wee freakin’ tiny so if you have larger hands they will take some additional fiddling to use potentially.The Bad:* Absolutely nothingThe Verdict:Definitely recommend and would and will grab again. These are very small but pack a lot of the little things you might need. I have bought dozens of little first aid kits in the past, and almost all are 100 bandages, one alcohol wipe and maybe some tape and antibiotic gel…maybe. With the nose-bleed stoppers, the itch cream, multiple types of cleaning wipes and not an overabundance of bandages…and scissors, this is a really solid kit. The price makes them a little over $8 each, but the cases can cost 1/3 of that by themselves.You can never have too many quick first aid kits, and these are much better than the vast majority out there.

My husband and I go out on a lot of outdoor hikes and we realized that we don’t really carry first aid kits for mishaps, so I thought I would order this kit. It comes in pack of three kits, so we can each keep one in our vehicles, while the 3rd can be strapped to our day pack that we use for hiking and rockhounding. Each kit has a semi-hard shell case with two net pockets to hold all the items. The exterior has a carabiner attached to the strap, which is nice for hanging on a backpack strap, although it’s small enough to not really take up much space in the pack if you experience wet weather. Each kit is packed with 180 pieces, and address cuts, scrapes, bug bites, bloody noses, etc. You have a huge selection of bandaids, guaze, and tape for bandaging cuts and scrapes, but there are also cleansers, antiseptics, as well as a antibiotic ointment that is included for treating cuts and scrapes before dressing it.Honestly, this first aid kit covers a majority of small wounds with all the items that are packed into them. It even inlcudes burn gel and antibiotic ointment which a lot of kits simply don’t offer. With a current price of $26 and a $3off coupon, it’s a pretty good deal at about $7.50 per kit, so spend a little bit for peace of mind to be prepared for minor skirfuffles!
