Passes the “dad test” while still being fun for we younger folks.
I gave this a play-test in a mixed generation crowd and it went well! There are cards that are “a reach” with pronunciation, but by and large, it’s a fun game. The only complaint that I have (other than the rhyme reaches) are that I feel the hints are _too_ generous. I think a compromise would have been two hints: one easy and one hard.Build quality: The cards are glossy and thick. They feel substantial in your hands.Value/Replayability: With 500 cards, there will be several full games before you start getting some overlap. The bummer with these types of games is that once you start to recognize the clues, it’s going to be less fun.This would be a great “ice breaker” type game, or something you leave at your Airbnb for guests. The only reason I’m knocking a point is that they could have workshopped a few of the rhymes better.

Not as fun as I thought it would be
While this game is a fun activity that is different than most other games, you really have to know your music. You have to know all different genres and artists. Saying it can be challenging isn’t really true, it’s actually somewhat impossible. Unlike general trivia where you can just blurt out any guess and the possibility of being correct is there, this is a game for True music aficionados.
