The blades are right!!
A lot of people are saying the replacement blades aren’t right.. that they are blunt tip for scoring and not blades. I just wanted to set the record straight. They are blades. I feel stupid because I thought the same thing. Adding a picture for reference. Take the rubber cap off.

Good Quality Kit
This was the only way I could get the card mat for the Joy Xtra machine.All items in this kit are good quality. I can put all of the Joy Xtra specific items together separate from the Explore items.

Good kit
I bought this kit mainly for the mats. The other stuff was a bonus but it turns out I use the tools all the time. The vinyl and paper is high quality. However, the light mat’s corners bent after using it only a few times and I had to cut off the corners and use it the other direction. I suspect I will need to replace it soon. I haven’t used the standard mat yet but it looks like the same type of material. Great value for the money.

UPDATED – Replacement Blades in the Cart Starter Kit-NOT as advertised-NOT cutting ones!
UPDATE: New crafter here. Found from another review that you pull the blade out of the rubber holder and the sharp/cutting blade is on the other side! Changed from 3 starts to 5. “Beware-the “5 replacement blades” are not the sharp ones in the picture. They are rounded ones for scoring! A little bait and switch going on here”.
