Koala dark transfer paper is a good product for good price
The Koala heat transfer paper for T-shirts is ok, but not the greatest. The price is good for what you are getting. I must say that I bought 2pks of 20 sheets, and I was happy with the results of most of them. There were only about 6 sheets that I didn’t care for the color or they came out a little blurry. The sheets are very flimsy, which surprised me how thin they were. This could be a good thing, because I use a household iron and scissors to process these transfer sheets. I was very impressed on how well they ironed onto the shirt. I would feel around the edges, and the edges actually felt like it blended into the shirt so that you did not feel the edge. The printing on these transfers with an hp all in one 3830 officejet was very interesting. Some prints came out fantastic and others were a little blurry and the color wasn’t vibrant like I had expected. I will say that these are better than the Jolee light transfer sheets ( which I will never buy again). To peel the paper off of the Koala transfer sheets is a little easier than some of the others I have used, but it takes patients to get it to start. However, once it starts to peel off the paper it comes off very easy. This I really did like. I will probably buy these again. I was trying to save money. I do like the Jolee dark transfer sheets a little bit better, because the color of the transfer I think comes out more vibrant, and the transfer sheet isn’t flimsy which makes it a little easier to control while using scissors to cut the transfer. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for transfer sheets on a small budget. Keep in mind , my printer could be the reason for the color.

    Great. Wow
I loved this transfer paper. I didn’t have to add any powder or ink. I simply used an Epson inkjet eco friendly tank printer and this paper. The DTF transfer turned out great. I recommend this product to any one

    I am in shock!
This paper is so damn good. I think is one of the best paper I have used for transfering. Colors vibrant, good adhesion to the fabrics. I wash sever times a piece that I try and it didnt fade or wash away the image. I am very happy with my purchase honestly.

Durable on almost anything, even leather !
I’ve made T-shirts, Denim jackets and even added graphics to leather cowboy boots and the Koala dark T-shirt transfers have worked PERFECTLY, the shorts have been through REPEATED washes with no peeling or fading at all and have stood up on my cowboy boots even being worn consistently.Great product all around for me, unfortunately not available on Amazon anymore 🙁

They are ok…but not the ideal paper for many print on color garments
They did a bit ok, but they are not the perfect type of heat transfer paper that would not leave a residue on your edges after minimal heat and pressure. You need to be careful to either trim the page closer to the image/graphic or decrease the amount of heat. If you failed to do so, you will often mess your project up and that can cost you time and money. I did made some decent prints, but I had to be extra careful by trimming the edges and also reduce the amount of heat and pressure from my heat press. See attached pic.

This is my favorite transfer paper. The thing I like most about it is you can use it for light OR dark fabric. My grandson colored a dinosaur and really wanted me to put it on a shirt for him.Could not disappoint a 5 year old. Needless to say he is thrilled with his new shirt ♡

Très satisfaite. Belles couleurs et s’appliquent bien.

Works good. No issues with cutting or printing on it. It did however come off on first wash.

  12. Kim Young

Great paper ….no dryer after adhering to material

The designs were first printed, then cut on a Cricut machine for precision. The offset edging to the image is white – visibly not appealing. Shouldn’t it be adjusted to dark fabric? Maybe it is technically not possible, otherwise the colors would not show on fabric either? Don’t know.EDIT: Just reviewing my images on darker fabric, I came up with the idea to adjust the OFFSET color to your fabrics color. And then be careful not to leave white space. I think that should work.UPDATE: After 1 wash, I have added the image. Left is the tshirt after one wash. Colors have smudged and turned out some reds. Colors faded. The right image is the new one before it was applied.Secondly, the edges lifted. (Initially, I had given 2 stars, this is down to 1 star now. Then why is this transfer paper sold for dark fabrics? The print quality wasn’t any better than the sheets for light fabric.AND it is significantly more expensive to get the transfer paper for dark fabrics.1- My concerns started with the chemical odor. When handling the paper, I always made sure to wash my hands thereafter. Even at ironing, I cannot imagine a small business owner using this paper with the fumes coming out when ironing for long periods.2- Placing the paper onto the Cricut Mat (the green regular one), two sets of my prints got destroyed because the paper would peel off partially, wrinkle and leave paper residues on the mat when I tried taking them off with the scraper tools meant for this kind of job.3- Pealing off the transfer from its backing paper was another challenge.UPDATE: Peel the image from the front/top, not the back. If you start peeling from the back, only half level of the paper comes out and your image becomes unusable. I couldn’t get that tissue off. Start from the front/top printed, then the thin plastic will come off better.4- Do not attempt to use transfer tape. You will lose both materials, your design transfer and your transfer tape. (I don’t think it was mentioned anywhere and if, do not attempt)5- Lastly, using a big sheet to be ironed on the T-shirt, you get this plastic feel and sound, like you are wearing a thick plastic table cloth. You can hear it on the video. As mentioned, I worked with two products so far. My first Transfer paper was TransOurDream, which I bought on Amazon twice already, but this Koala was on special and I wanted to give it a try.I would definitely not buy this product again. The first brand is so soft, thinner and flexible. It was easy to work with, etc. Certainly, not with this threatful odor coming out.
