This HOTEC silicone baking mat has quickly become one of my wife’s favorite baking tools. The size alone makes it stand out, at 26 by 16 inches, it provides a generous workspace for kneading dough, rolling pastries, or shaping fondant. It easily covers a wide section of the countertop, which helps keep things clean while offering plenty of room to work comfortably.The material quality is excellent. It’s made from thick, food-grade silicone reinforced with a fiberglass core, giving it just the right mix of flexibility and sturdiness. The non-slip bottom keeps it firmly in place on the counter, and the non-stick surface means you don’t have to dust it with flour, which helps keep dough textures consistent. It’s also heat-resistant, so it doubles as an oven liner or countertop protector, which adds great versatility.One of my favorite design touches is the printed measurement guides and conversion chart directly on the mat. They’re easy to read and make portioning and sizing doughs much simpler, especially when working on recipes that call for precise measurements.Cleanup is very easy. You can just wipe it down with a damp cloth or toss it into the dishwasher. It dries quickly and rolls up neatly for storage without losing shape.The only issue I ran into was with the packaging. The mat was tightly sealed in a plastic wrap that was difficult to remove, and while trying to open it, I accidentally cut a small section of the edge. This is a great baking mat for the money. I love that it sticks to my quartz countertops while I’m rolling out dough, no sliding around. Easy to clean, I toss it in my dishwasher and let the machine do the work. Full Sheet Sized Perfection
The quality of this silicone pastry matt is nearly as good as the ones i bought several years ago from a dedicated pastry company. The edges are quite as reinforced as high-end ones but i don’t imagine this will be an issue for home use where they aren’t used 365. The big thing to call out for home users is that this mat is sized for Full Sheet sized pans versus the more traditional half-sheet used by most home cooks and ovens. One of my most common uses for silicone mats is to melt parmesan fricos and this one does that perfectly – effortless releasing the crispy cheese chips once melted without any cracking or peeling – non stick perfection. The helpful measurements on the non-slip mat are also great around the holiday season when you’re trying to roll out the perfect sized top to your family pie recipe. As always – silicone is easy to clean with a bit of light soap and water but i’d avoid the dishwasher.

You know how you think you need something, get it and then use it one or two times only to never touch it again? That’s how I figured this would be. But I was so wrong! I use it daily! We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel so space and regular countertops are lacking right now. But with this mat being so large, I can find any flat surface to turn into a countertop work space to knead or roll out bread dough. It’s well made, great quality and easy to clean. I’ve never used it to bake with because, well, I just don’t have a pan big enough lol. But

My old pastry mat was getting worn out, so I decided to order this one. The pastry sizing circles and ruler measurements on the sides are really useful, especially since I bake a lot of bread, mostly dinner rolls.The mat feels a little bit sticky to the touch, but the dough didn’t stick to it at all when I used it. I’ll be using this a lot more during the winter break for making bread and pastries. I was also surprised to find out it can be used as a baking sheet in the oven, as it’s heat-resistant up to 500°F. Since I make pizza from time to time, I’m looking forward to trying it out for that as well.Cleaning was easy; I just washed it in the sink. It says it’s dishwasher-safe, but it’s so simple to clean by hand that I don’t think I’ll ever put it in the dishwasher.
