I bought this heated car blanket for cold mornings on the road and for camping trips when the evenings get chilly. For the price you get what you paid for. The blanket feels thick and definitely can hold heat in.It doesn’t get very warm as others mentioned.I tried using it as a lay on blanket, covering myself with a large comforter. Not effective.The best way to be warmed is to be underneath the warming blanket and top it off with another big blanket.Because it can warm you up I’m giving it five stars.

Car blanket
This blanket works great! I purchased it for the winters since I have a soft top Jeep wrangler. It’s become an essential item for cold winter days. Easy plug in, takes about 3-5 minutes to really heat up. It’s very soft and warm.

Husband loves it!
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He hasn’t installed his automatic start yet (Christmas present from last year), and his ride to work is short so the truck didn’t always heat up enough by the time he needs to leave. We live in the midwest so the winters can get pretty cold. He goes out to start his truck and this is plugged into the cigarette lighter and it heats up nicely for when he sits down he puts it over his lap and underneath him so he’s wrapped in warmth in the legs as he drives to work. It is true you cannot adjust the temperature as it plugs into the cigarette lighter, so it’s either on or off. It’s not supposed to be the equivalent of a heating blanket but it is a great little product and he loves it and he’s happy with it, so I’m very happy with it. I would definitely buy this again.

Quit working 2nd time being used.
Purchased in March and this is the second trip I’ve used it for and the blanket quit working. It was kept in the car storage compartment when not being used, and when it was being used it wasn’t for a long period of time.Pros: Soft, nice color way, and not very heavy. When it works the temperature is fine, but it could be warmer.Cons: Quit working during the second road trip we used it on. There isn’t an on/off button or temperature control.I get very cold, so keeping a warming blanket in the car for road trips is a must for me. I do not recommend this blanket due to the longevity and lack of durability.

Ok but not great. Good enough.
Doesn’t get super warm and doesn’t heat evenly. But, if you have a portable power station with a 12v dc car plug, this will run for about 5 hours on a 270 watt hour power station. I wouldn’t trust this thing to save your life if you’re dealing with sub-zero temperatures but if you’re doing some camping or some car camping this could be a good option.

Running this 12v blanket from a power bank while camping
Used this electric blanket on a fall, tent camping trip. Ran it from a 500w battery pack. It pulls about 44w. I put the blanket inside my sleeping bag, the outside temp was in the lower 50s F. I was amazed on how much warmth it created. I ran it for seven hours and my battery bank was only down to 71%. Very happy with this blanket.

At first I thought it want working properly, or just not very warm. After 10 mins plugged in I noticed no real difference, but I read if you sandwich it between layers it traps the heat. So sleeping in my van, I put it on top of my sleeping bag, with a fleece blanket on top of it, and bingo! It was well toasty! Only problem was I was so snug I didn’t want to get up in the morning lol.

Great electric blanket for camping. Quick to warm up and helps keep you toasty through out the night. I sleep in my swag with this blanket, and even in -4C frosts I have been comfortable through the night. I don’t like sleeping in heavy and restrictive sleeping bags, so this is great just with a sleeping matt and doona. Been very happy with this purchase and it has been away camping with me for many nights through the cooler nights in Victoria. I think anyone with a camper trailer or caravan would be even more impressed.
