Gold Foil Washi Tape Set
The creation of borders around weekly planner pages has been one of my favorite applications of this material. There are various designs on each roll, such as star clusters, crescent moons, symbolic runes, and wisps of cosmic dust, and they all correlate with one another in a seamless manner. To frame habit-tracker portions and motivational lines, I cut strips of varied widths, and the adhesive remained firmly adhered even after I turned the pages of the book every day. However, when I experimented with repositioning the strips, they came off neatly. The ability to modify layouts until they felt like they were completely mine was made possible by this versatility. A picture of a trip I took to see the stars during the summer of 2017 was embellished with three different tapes that I mixed together over a weekend scrapping session. The gold foil glistened when illuminated from a variety of angles, creating a sense of depth without concealing the designs that were below it. The tapes give depth without ever creating bulk, which allows albums to shut down without any difficulty. This was the aspect that intrigued me the most about the tapes. When the tapes were used to stitch picture corners, they remained intact and did not fray or move even after being passed through the sewing machine many times.

This is my favorite washi tape so far, and I’ve tried several from different brands. It doesn’t tear when pulling it off the spool, it sticks easily. The designs are gorgeous, too. I’ve been making bookmarks with them.

Pretty but….
These are really pretty, and they stick very well to the paper. My only issue is the amount of product on each roll — you don’t get very much. However, I do like that the set includes different sizes of washi tape, which is nice. They are also easy to cut without scissors making then easy to use.
