I like that this is set up to be utilized with both a maker and explore machines. I’ve got both but my maker is still under warranty so I decided to utilize it with my explore 2. YOU HAVE TO READ THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS! If you don’t, then you won’t know exactly how to use it, it isn’t a cricut branded item, it has specific instructions and settings you need to set it to.Now the price is cheaper than the branded one, but it isn’t super cheap, especially when the brand runs a good sale. So that is something to keep in mind, 1) you get the branded ones for around the same price on a good sale and 2) the tool will void your warranty. However, the MAIN perk, in my opinion, is the availability to use this with the explore series which wouldn’t be an option usually.

I’ve just recently got my Cricut. it’s an older explorer air too but I read that this would work with it. I have not had a chance to try it out yet. But I did get it for a very decent price and if I have any problems with it I will definitely come back and update my review.
