Great for a beginner
Everything came as advertised. The quality is good the inside of the punch is smooth without snagging the yarn. You get a good number of sizes to cover all you punching needs, from thick rug yarns to thinner threads. I really appreciate the case it comes in. You can store all of you items in it and a few more things as you go along. You get several threaders which is helpful and I would recommend this to anyone just getting started in punch needling.

Fun new craft to try for beginners children or adults
Gave one to my 82 yr old mom. She found easy to do. She didn’t have trouble with despite her advanced arthritis. I have since bought her several more patterns. She really enjoys embroidery again.

Smelly af
This needs to off gas before I try it in earnest.Can’t speak much to the quality because I’m a complete novice but everything fits in the case kinda awkwardly. Looks like everything arrived, only the needle case was slightly cracked.Every kit of any kind comes with a million needles at this point. Should I turn them into ornaments? Tiny wind chimes? What is everyone else doing with them?EDIT I’ve since tried some of them out. Out of the entire kit, I think the smaller gauged needles are the ones I’d likely use the most. Unfortunately most of the tips don’t stay attached to the handle while you’re working it very well. There are also a couple that don’t have handles at all, just shrunk wrap tubing which also slides around while you’re trying to work.I think it was kinda worth it for me to get an idea of the breadth of applications punch needle has, but if you already have an idea of what you want to be making it makes more sense to just get a good one in the size you want.Also it still smells
