I wasn’t sure if I’d actually use this as much as I do, but it’s been such a great buy! It’s lightweight, easy to use, and makes prep work in the kitchen so much faster. The design is sturdy and everything feels well-made — not cheap or flimsy. Cleanup is simple too, which is always a huge plus. If you’re on the fence, definitely go for it. A great new kitchen tool!
If you cook anything that requires you to shred meat, then you need this! I was skeptical at first thinking it would be a useful gadget I would use once and it would break, or it would just not work well. I was wrong! It is pretty sturdy and I don’t have any real concerns with it breaking. But I have only had it a short time. So we’ll see. As for ease of use and effectiveness, it gets an A+ from me. I just shredded five chicken breasts in less than three minutes. The chicken shredded evenly with no large pieces. It was also pretty easy to get the shredded chicken out of the container. Definitely a good buy for anyone tired of shredding chicken with forks or their hand mixer.

Works Wonderfully!
This product works perfectly! I was doubtful, even with its good reviews. How could something so simple work so well? It does 🙂 Especially easy with warm chicken. The chicken in the pictures is very shredded, as I use it in the dog food I make, and want it minced finely. This was three rotations of the gadget. If you wanted to have it less shredded, ie, for tacos or such, it shreds in nice, larger pieces on one turn. In less than a minute, I shredded four pounds of cooked chicken breast. And that is with arthritic hands. It sticks well to the counter, so there was no fussing with anything slippery or messy. I have also shredded a pork loin for pork sandwiches. Haven’t shredded beef, but I see no reason why it wouldn’t work as well. Would like to stress that it does its best work when the meat is warm. I tried it with cold chicken just to see – it worked, but required a lot of pressure and work for the hands. Would also mention to follow the directions to put pieces of meat in. For instance, I cut each cooked breast into four. I did not try to squeeze an whole breast onto it. When finished, it went into the dishwasher. Easy cleanup, always a good thing.

Aah, this is amazing! Currently, I cook chicken breasts in the pressure cooker, shred them, mix them with cheese and an egg to make an ultra-low-carb pizza base.Previously, I used an electric whisk after seeing a YouTube hack, but I’m not sure how robust my mixer is before it breaks, and it can throw bits all sorts of places if you’re not careful. Then I saw this and knew it was just perfect.I tear a large cooked chicken breast into about three pieces and go to town on it. It’s very quick – 15-20 seconds, and it’s shredded perfectly for a salad. Give it another 15-20 seconds (max!), and the bits are smaller than my previous method, making them perfect for my pizza bases!It’s easy (ish) to clean, just watch you don’t keep stabbing yourself on the spikes like I did trying to get a sponge in all the areas.
