Our hoop becomes attached to the throat plate—practically immoveable as we struggle to dislodge the tangle of thread that has a tight grip on our hooped fabric and machine. Standard scissors are too large and short to reach the tangle of threads.
If only there was a tool to easily reach underneath the hoop to trim and free the hoop from the machine. Now there is!
The Bird’s Nest Tool Kit includes two clever instruments: a Stitch Releaser and a Thread Hook.
Use the Thread Hook to reach the bird’s nest tangled under the hoop while you use the Stitch Releaser to sever the threads. Now your hoop is free as a bird!

Zipper pull is really flimsy! Tools are great
I changed my rating to 5 stars. These tools work great.I did give this 4 stars because it had just arrived and I hadn’t been able to use it yet. I tried to unzip the case and the zipper pull snapped off. I would probably return this one and buy another but since that is more difficult than the value of the item, I will improvise and make something to use as a zipper pull, in its stead. Just be careful and baby the zipper pull. It is really thin and flimsy metal.Update: I have had to use these tools 3 times already as I am experimenting with embroidery and making patterns. Hopefully I get the hang of it soon. That said, It is extremely useful and very heavy duty. I was able to reach under my embroidery hoop without popping the fabric out of the hoop and ruining my project. I really like this set and unfortunately, it will come in handy quite often I’m afraid.

Greatest new addition to my sewing
This two tool set contains a scalpel like knife and a hook for removing bird’s ness from your machine. I have used it several times. I place the knife between the fabric and the stitch plate. It made a clean cut with no pulling. I took it to a class and others borrowed it several times throughout the week. So many people said they wanted to purchase it. Great sewing tool. There is nothing like it.
