My daughter LOVES this!
I wanted to get an educational toy for my 5 year old daughter so I bought this. It’s a hit! She absolutely loves it. It’s teaching her math and she feels like she’s getting screen time, so it’s a win-win for us. It has so many different levels so it’s engaging and she can continue to use it as she learns. She has thrown it all over the place and it has not broken. It’s absolutely worth the money. We love it!

Great for in the car
I put this math game in the car for my 6 yo grandson to play with when he doesn’t have his iPad. It’s a lot of fun! We love the guessing game, and remembering the number sequence game.

This has been a great success so far!It has different modes–addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division–as well as some modes that offer a combination to these. The games are relatively simple and as a result, they are great for reinforcing ideas and ensuring that the user is both learning and being rewarded for learning. It’s a simple learning tool that provides simple learning opportunities without additional distractions, and rewards the kids using it for doing so.It has a screen and button interface alongside voice prompts. The voice is somewhat robotic, but very clear and easy understand, which is a huge plus. It provides immediate responses, which is great for maintaining attention and helps keep the child engaged long before they may be bored of sitting down with a book. There is also a couple of volume options as well as a silent mode, so it can also just be used with buttons and the screen.In terms of build quality, it made from yellow plastic and feels reasonably sturdy. The buttons are big, bright, and red, white, or blue, which helps them stand out and be very easy to use for smaller hands. And so far, it’s held up well to daily use. As for power, it takes 3 AAA batteries, and so far I’ve had no issues with this – the battery life has also been solid with intermittent use on a daily.The only reason I took a star off is because of the instructions aren’t great. It is fine for a child who is used to playing with this type of device. But, for younger children or those not used to interacting with machines like this, it can take a bit of time to figure everything out.

Brilliant and fun learning. My 7 year old and my 3 year old both love this. Fun and education. Good hand held size. I feel it’s a little pricey at £23 on offer but agree it’s a good tool.

This is a brilliant calculator/basic handheld unit that has a really good wide-ranging levels of maths games and difficulties – the usual additions, subtractions, divisions and multiplications (and quite tricky ones too – you can increase the difficulty as the child progresses) but I really liked the spot the pattern quiz (and therefore pick the next number) and find the larger or smaller number in a series – so really checking that your child has the maths basic understanding and can apply it too. Nice cheerleading/positive reinforcement as they progress and there’s no phone ads, youtube or the like in terms of distractions on this as its very plain and simple – so focuses the mind on maths unlike a phone ! I don’t therefore think its probably going to keep the attention or excitement of an older child as they are used to more bells and whistles, but it will be interesting to a younger child say age 5 to 7 who likes maths – or at least likes a challenge and takes pleasure from words of praise and earning stars. Some might say its a bit old fashioned, maybe that’s why I like it as its simple to use and does a good job – I’d be very happy to give this to my child for say 15 mins a day as a ‘fun’ thing to do – reinforce some learning and its a bit of simple fun for in the car or at a quiet time of the day – maybe during meal prep ? Price wise its not cheap, I think its a little overpriced for what it is – so hence dropping a star as there will no doubt be an app that will do the same thing – but for reasons given previously I like this being a separate unit.
