I cannot recommend this game enough.
Cascadia has quickly become a staple of our game nights, with multiple plays in a single session! The quality is excellent, featuring beautifully illustrated habitat tiles and wildlife tokens that make every game visually stunning. The components feel premium, ensuring long-lasting durability. The game is easy to learn, with simple mechanics that allow players to jump in quickly. Despite its accessibility, it offers deep strategy, requiring thoughtful placement and planning to maximize points. The pace is fast, keeping everyone engaged without long downtimes. For the price, it’s a great value, delivering high replayability with different scoring objectives each time. Whether playing casually or competitively, it’s always exciting to build ecosystems and optimize wildlife patterns. If you want a beautifully designed strategy game, this one is a fantastic choice! Highly recommended for families and board game enthusiasts!

Awesome for TWO PLAYERS or more!
Super fun for TWO PLAYERs or up to 4! I was specifically looking for twp player games for my husband and I and this one fit the bill! There are an endless amount of scenarios and the game will never get old! The game is absolutely stunning and super high quality! I will definitely be recommending it to my friends! Would make a fun Christmas gift!

    New Favorite Game!
I absolutely love this game. First, it’s gorgeous. The quality and feel of the components is top tier and the artwork is beautiful. I also love that there is educational information included about the environment and species in the instructions. Second, the pacing of the game can be slow in the beginning as you’re learning the mechanics and best strategies, but will play quickly as you’re used to it. It’s challenging enough to keep you engaged but simple enough to not be too overwhelming. Great for adults and even kids as young as 9 or 10. My 9yo hasn’t played it yet, but I think he’ll like it, especially since he enjoys Carcassonne. The game lasts around 30-45 minutes. The replay ability is high as each time you play, the requirements to scoring changes. Plus, there’s solo play instructions included. The box is compact for easy storage. Highly recommend! Looking forward to the expansions.

    New Game Night Favorite
This is our new board game night favorite! It is easy to understand as compared to other strategy games which allows for the fun to begin sooner since you aren’t bogged down in the rules. I also like that you build your own habitat instead of building one massive one together like other games. The artwork is amazing! Also, you can use different rules for the points which makes this game even better and increases the playability over time. I do wish you could play with more people though and hope they come out with an expansion pack someday! If you enjoy a game with a little bit of strategy this is for you!

A must have for your collection
So much fun. A good game to exercise your mind and gets you to strategize. But it’s not difficult at the same time. A must have!

The best “gateway” strategy game since Splendor, fantastic for families with kids as young as 8
I tend to lean toward the “heavier” side of strategy games, things like Everdell, Terra Mystica, Castles of Burgundy, and Voyages of Marco Polo. However, sometimes you just want a fun, easy to play game that has just enough strategy to keep you interested, without jarring the sensibilities of the less “hardcore” players. In the past, Splendor was my go-to game of this kind, but I am ecstatic to add Cascadia into the mix. It’s a fantastic blend of fast, easy to learn playability, with just enough strategy to keep things interesting. The core strategies are simple — form an arrangement of animals in a pattern to score points, while attempting to match (as best as possible) the terrain types to maximize bonus scoring. The minor mechanic that lets you alter the basic tile/animal selection (the pine cone “bonus” tiles) is just perfect for adding a little bit more strategy without radically altering the core. Our family loves it. My 9 and 11 year-olds enjoy the theme with the wildlife and animals, and the overall strategy is clear to them (even if they are still learning the nuances). The parts are well made; the terrain tiles and animal tokens are a nice, thick cardstock. The bag, box, and storage are compact and easy to manage.I suspect over time this will be a game ripe for expansions, as I can see perhaps after 25+ plays that you might want more variety in animals, terrain, and scoring options. But even out of the box you’re getting a fantastic game at a very good price, one that’s absolutely worth having in your collection.

Fun game, but first time “ease of learning” a bit of a stretch
Great game, I want to play it again after playing it once, which is a good sign, but “two minutes to learn” is not realistic. Just learning how to setup the board correctly is much longer than two minutes. Then learning a strategy that works well is certainly not the easiest but manageable once you get one game under your belt, but when everyone that plays is playing this for their first time, it is slow moving. It took us probably an hour and a half to play one game. Next time will be shorter since we know what we’re doing, but I bought this for a game night at my church because it was advertised as a “quick, easy learn” and it was not that. I’ve played harder games but I’ve played many, many games that are quicker and easier to learn than this. That being said – take the time to learn it, it’s a great game, just not as simple as they try to make it sound.

    Our family favorite!!
This has quickly become our favorite family game. The artwork, tiles, tokens, and scoring methods are all spot on, beautiful, and striking on the table. The solo experience keeps me engaged game after game, I play with extra tiles to extend the game. This one will frequent the game table often. I highly recommend the Landmarks expansion for extra fun. Photo includes Landmark features.

Cascadia is a very good board game. I play it with my sons (ages 14 and 6), and all of us enjoy it a lot. I like that there are no dice — everything depends on your choices and decisions, which makes you really think. For my 6-year-old, it was especially fun to see the immediate results: when you place an animal, you instantly see how many points you score. The game components are excellent: high quality, pleasant to the touch, and beautifully illustrated. I would recommend Cascadia especially for players who already have some experience with board games, since you need to understand the rules and mechanics to fully enjoy it.

I bought this for my mum, and it is now one of her favourite games. It is easy to set up and play, with added challenges due to the different animal goal cards. The game is fairly simple to understand, too. However, personally, I find it to be relatively expensive for what it is, so I would recommend waiting for a discount.

A really great game that is fun to play. We play it with 2 and it keeps us amused and challenging each other, we are quite competitive with the matches.
