M4 seems to be my go to size when I’m using threaded inserts. This pack was a great replacement for the lack of M4s on my workbench. I used them to finish a recent project of attaching a foot to a base for my leg lamp. It worked wonderfully and the price per piece was a nice value. Easy to install and very smooth threads.

Great assortment in quality
this is a great assortment to have around for all your small hobby project needs. Tons of assorted sizes to use for everything. The pieces are very good quality brass inserts and come separated in baggies in there case. The case is sufficient, but some of these are so small you have to be very careful.

Ture to size, works well.
I’ve had these threaded inserts few months now and used them on several projects, mostly with 3d printed PETG parts. They have been true to size and have worked great every time I’ve needed them. Would recommend.

A bit of a pain but good parts
Decent parts. Bought these for a modification to a logitech shifter and was a pain in the ass installing them.Would highly recommend also getting a set of needle tip tweezers and a soldering iron to melt them into the project that you are working on.

Pilot Hole Sizes
I did some testing to figure out the optimal pilot hole sizes. This is printed in ABS on a prusa i3 mk3. This is the smallest size hole the pilot shank (the smaller bottom part before the spikey ribbed portion) will fit into without force.M2 – 3.0mm pilot hole sizeM2.5 – 3.4mm pilot hole sizeM3 – 4.3mm pilot hole sizeM4 – 5.3mm pilot hole sizeM5 – 6.3mm pilot hole sizeM6 – 7.2mm pilot hole sizeI found them easy to insert. So far the threads have not worn out, but I have not used them aggressively so who knows. Its almost certainly better than bare plastic and a wood screw, which is what I did before.

Very strong in 3d prints.
These were my first try and threaded inserts, and I’ve been well pleased. I use them for 3D prints that need to be taken apart at times, and these work perfectly. It took me a little work with my prints to make the hole the right size, and to make sure I had a long enough hole, but after a couple of videos, they are really easy to use.
