I praise it to the world
This thing is NICE…… Ok. i did an exceptionally large print that failed just at the end. So, I calculated the failure and made the piece that failed to print. I bonded it together and went about cleaning up the seams with this tool, it worked phenominally. I love it. The Digital display, the quick heat up. Its so easy to use. But, I can see there being problems for someone else as there are no instructions. But thats ok for me. I like it. Its a nice quality soldering iron with some very useful attachments. This is a good Buy.

    Okay
This is an okay inexpensive digital soldering iron, the ones that are fairly commonplace here on Amazon. It comes with a single soldering tip, the requisite heat insert tool tips, and the smoothing tool tips. Truthfully, only the soldering tip and insert tool tips will be useful for using the inexpensive, but provided, soldering stand. While it is a rather basic stand, it is leaps and bounds better than the little folded metal and plastic things that pass for a stand that are included with most such items. You’ll not be able to use this stand when using the larger smoothing tips.Included as well are two tragically terrible tweezers whose tips bend like cardboard the first time you try to use them. These went right into the trash. Somewhat more useful are 3 small wire brushes, brass, nylon, stainless steel. The iron is turned on by tapping the power button, rather than pressing and holding, which is the other way many of these turn on. It is nice that the soldering iron remembers your last setting after being unplugged and put away, and then plugged back in and used another time. There are no provided instructions, which is neither good nor bad unless you’ve never used this sort of thing before. Typically, the provided instructions are not useful and you are better off just finding a video on how to use them.Since both the heat insert tips as well as the smoothing tips are unfinished brass, plastic will smear and melt all over them, very much so on the smoothing tips. Plan on carefully cleaning them off while the iron is hot, using leather gloves to hold a fold paper towel or rag to remove the goo before it solidifies.Everything goes together fine, and there are no problems. For $26.99, this seems to be an average value. The unbranded, unmarked, generic soldering iron is not UL listed, or ETL, or anything else that has validated it for third party safety testing in the United States. CE is a European compliance mark and does not mean that it was safety tested.Since you, the buyer, are now the test lab, it is important that this iron not be left alone when plugged in and heated. At the very least, not until you are personally satisfied that it is safe.

    It’s really smooth.
Great tool for all my printed projects and so much more, extras are also great and come on handy.

    Works the way it should
I like this better than a traditional soldering iron as you can control the heat much better

    Good tool but…
This smoothing tool is great in concept, but there is a major flaw. But first the pros:The tool itself is nice and compact. It heats up quickly, so no waiting for a long time before using. The digital display is really nice. And the tool itself is fairly simple to use.The cons:Attachments dont stay screwed in very well, which is a bit dangerous because you have to fiddle with it while hot or turn it off, wait for it to cool down, fix the attachment, and then get back to work.

Solid little kit for fixing prints and small touch-ups
I picked this up mainly for smoothing out 3D prints and fixing small issues when they happen. It’s definitely not a high-end or professional iron, but for basic cleanup and light post-processing, it does the job just fine. I wasn’t expecting perfection at this price, and it performs better than I thought it would. It heats up quickly and holds temperature well enough to get through what I need without a lot of fluctuation. The digital temp control is handy for dialing in the right heat depending on the job, and swapping out tips is pretty straightforward. The variety of tips is nice, though I haven’t used them all yet. The stand is decent and keeps things steady while I work. The tweezers included feel kind of flimsy and didn’t last long, but everything else has held up well.If you’re just looking to smooth prints or correct minor flaws without breaking the bank, this kit is a great value for the money.

Great kit for joining 3D prints and smoothing seams
I was excited to get this to help with joining 3D printed parts together, and it doesn’t disappoint. I’d 3d printed a full size Chucky doll and was struggling to join the pieces together and covering seams, but this product is making that process a LOT better. The variety of tool tips the kit comes with cover all of your needs (and then some). The variable heat levels are amazing, and the iron is intuitive and easy to use.The kit has a lot of value for the price, and so far seems to be fairly durable. The only problem with this is my project list is going to grow now that I have this to help join things together.
