Space PI Filament Dryer
【Upgraded PTC 360° Hot-air Heating】The filament dryer quickly heats with a built-in fan, circulating hot air 360° for uniform heating, dryer box input voltage: 110V 50/60Hz, effectively drying moisture filaments and improving printing results
【Advanced PTC Heating Technology】Creality space pi filament dryer box plus employs a unique 110W PTC heater to warm up the space, a feature that sets us apart in the market. Unlike most filament dryers that use a Pl heating pad and often result in uneven drying, our model with the PTC heater ensures uniform drying. This PTC heater is not only durable and energy-saving,but also eco-friendly
【Easy Operation LCD Touch Screen】The Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer comes with a 3.7-inch touch screen for easy operation, making it simple for you to track drying conditions. The touch screen supports switching between ℃ and ℉ temperatures more convenient settings
【One-key Set for 12 Filaments】Creality filament dryer has one-key temperature settings for different filament types, supporting up to 12 types of filaments, including common and high-performance composite like PLA-CF, PA-CF, ASA. You can also freely adjust the temperature from 45°C to 70°C
【48 Hours Timer Function】The 3D printer filament dryer’s heating duration can be freely set from 0-48 hours, allowing the filaments to be fully dried for better printing results. Keep your filaments dry and free from moisture for consistent high-quality prints

Sunlu Filadryer S2 vs Creality Space Pi (new 2024 models)
Full disclaimer, I bought both of these with my own money. The sunlu had raving reviews and the creality had no reviews at the time of my purchase. I decided to compare these since I could not find someone else who did it. I was going to build one but for ~$50-60 I thought it was not worth my time to make one DIY.Power cords:creality uses standard 120V slim ac power plug (148W), same as playstation/TV/other small electronicsSunlu uses 24V 2A power brick with barrel plug (48W). This is unacceptable in 2024, either use standard AC power adapters or USB-C Power-DeliveryThe biggest complaint about the sunlu is the fact that the charger is from the rear of the dryer on the long side (since the LCD is on the other) this means that you cannot lay it up against a wall because the cord gets in the way. It also falls over very easily. The creality does not.Heat/drying ability:creality is much more capable outputting heat, as it draws 148W maximum, tripling the heating ability of the sunlu at 48W maximum. this translates to filament drying faster in the creality, the sunlu stays barely warm while the creality is hot to touch (but not uncomfortably hot). The sunlu has a max runtime of only 6 hours (creality 48 hours) which sucks for wet filament since it can take well over 12 hours to fully dry. In fact, I once woke up with my filament more wet in the morning than it was at night because it had shut off and I left my window open. This being said, I do not like that both are only suspended on ball bearing rollers, I felt that the creality was a little uneven heating the bottom rear side of the filament more than the rest, with the front side of the fillament (facing the panel) staying the coolest. this can easily be fixed by adding a motor to rotate the filament like a rotisserie chicken, I am not sure why no one uses that idea yet, I will likely modify my creality to do this using a microwave oven plate motor.Noise:Creality has a kinda annoying hum from the fan. It is much quieter than my printer but definitely audible and annoying if in the same room. I will likely replace it with a silent fan.the Sunlu is quiet.Screen:Sunlu screen is turned on by double tapping, it uses an LCD panel with a manual LED backlight. Light turns off automatically after a a minute by default which really bothers me as it sits under my dark desk so I have to keep tapping it to turn on. Even after setting LED-ON, the backlit panel turns off after a few minutes and the led-ring stays on.Creality screen is turned on by pressing and holding for about two seconds (light pressure). It stays on until you turn it off and is a modern looking color lcd-panel. I like this panel better, i think it is better looking and more responsive, although i wish it had an AMOLED or OLED.Lid:both feature clamshell designed lids, however the creality lid is a better fit and has no holes in it.The sunlu has two holes in the lid. It sometimes closes without fitting into the lower piece so you have to mess with it so it closes properly.both lack a gasket for sealing so I would not expect either of them to function well for long term filament storage, although the sunlu would fair worse with the more-poorly fitting enclosure and two unsealed ports on the lid.Price:I bought both on sale, it was about $55 for the sunlu and $60 for the creality so the price at the time was about the same, even if it was $10-15 more it would be worth getting the creality. If the creality had a gasket around the shell, an optional motorized roller, had a larger space inside (for 5KG spools), space for desiccant, an automated feed system (such as bambulab AMS) and AMOLED/OLED panel, this would easily be the best filament dryer ever made. Especially with a glass/metal body and cover I would easily pay over two hundred dollars for it.Returning the sunlu. Keeping the creality. Thanks for reading.

Great option for PETG/PC
Game changer for printing sensitive filaments. Unless I’m printing something like PLA that’s already dry, I run filament directly out of this into the printer. Having two slots allows me to actively print one filament, and dry another roll at the same time. I like the preset options for PLA, PETG, PC, etc. but always read from the manufacturer what the recommended drying temps are, especially for PLA.A couple nit-picks, the touch screen could be more responsive, or be physical buttons ideally. The roller bearing shafts are kind of small too, so you may want to print little ‘spacer’ cylinders for the spools to roll on; that’s made a big difference. There is some noise, but it’s a large hot fan so that’s to be expected. It’s actually fairly quiet for what you get.All in all it’s a good item for the price, and doesn’t feel super cheap.

Solid unit
Easy to setup. Works great. The only negative I would give this is the touchscreen is a little finicky.

Works well, fancy UI
I like this product, it’s easy to use, the PTFE tube coming out was a bit confusing for me because it had a plastic bit on it that I didn’t know what went to. Either way, the touchscreen interface on the device is fancy, and the humidity of the box does seem to drop a decent amount. The only problem I have is that the box isn’t airtight, which makes sense as a heater, but this worries me a bit since there’s no remote control or some way to resume drying if you’re like me and leave filament on the printer constantly.

Easy to use and definitely makes a difference
I did a lot of research on filament driers and this Creality Space Pi came out on top. I can see why. It is easy to use and definitely has made a difference in the print quality coming from my printer. I don’t print all that often, so when I would go to do a print, my filament would be brittle and tended to print “ok” but not great. I did a test print where I grabbed an old roll and printed a model, then dried it in the Creality Space Pi and there was a significant and obvious difference. It was like I was printing with a brand new roll of filament. It does take some getting used to the touch screen as I feel there is a bit of a delay after touching it and the response of the screen, but I find the touch screen easy to use and see. The fan noise is noticeable, but not loud. Just a slight hum in the background. I like the fact that the air is blown around the inside of the unit instead of just a heating element that just warms the unit.If you are on the fence on getting a filament drier, get this one. You won’t be disappointed.

Worth every penny! 6 star product!
This thing solved some print problems I was having. Totally worth it in time saved troubleshooting. Now I don’t have to worry about the humidity of the filament being a variable. Wish I could give it 6 stars!

Works well
Works great, holds 2 rolls at a time. Easy to setup and use. It would be nice if there were pre-made profiles for the different filament types, but that doesn’t diminish the function of the equipment.

This is great I like it because it’s a stronger bowmen tube. The tube cutter is a must because it cuts clean and ti fits perfectly.

Works exactly as expected and dries filament well. It’s quiet and doesn’t kick off much heat itself. Most importantly, I trust a brand like Creality when it comes to running unattended heaters for 8 hours not to burn my house down. It’s a bit more expensive but the peace of mind and quality is worth a few extra dollars. The only downside is that the screen doesn’t feel high quality. It might just be that way to withstand heat and consume less power because it looks like a low power touch screen calculator style display. It works fine to press a couple settings and then forget about it, just press slowly and hard and it’ll register your inputs fine.
