Fun game for kids. It makes them think and use vocabulary skills.

  3. Germaine Johnston

    Love the swivel base!
    Very nice set.

  4. Jurrell

Great for kids learning to spell
Fun game for the family. Much easier than scrabble.

Game gets 5 stars, included bag for tiles: 1 star
Upwords is a really fun and challenging game and we highly recommended it.When we first opened the game and I saw the plastic bag included to hold the letter tiles I commented to my wife, “well, this isn’t going to last long” and, sure enough, it didn’t even last a week before it got a hole in it.To be clear, it’s just my wife and I who have played the game and we certainly weren’t rough on the bag. It just didn’t hold up. Fortunately we have a cloth bag we can use instead.Again, great game. Poor quality bag for tiles.

    Upwards rock!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Our monthly Scrabble group is loving this game!  One person in the group brought this one time & I was immediately hooked!  I am so glad I purchased it!I believe it is even much more enjoyable than original Scrabble!  Learning method:Never too old to try something new!

    Such a Fun Game!
Such a fun game! We have really enjoyed this one. It is very similar to Scabble but easier to play and the board on a lazy susan is a bonus! Fantastic game to add to our collection.

Well made game, love the swivel board
Fun word strategy game, transforming words into new words, different ways to earn points, and more. It’s well made and the swivel board is a big plus. This has different scoring from scrabble. It’s more about thinking creatively about transforming words into new words or changing tense. Scoring is different from scrabble as are some of the rules, which seem to be designed to enable upward transformations, for example, words cannot be made plural so an “S” can’t be tagged onto the end of a word, it stretches the player to use an S at the beginning of a word to create a new word. It takes time to learn the rules and we discovered violating them restricted the opportunities to build upwards. This has become one of our go-to games! Very happy with this purchase.

Great gameEasy to understandFun to play with teens and adukts

  10. Callie Zalla

LOVE this game!! It is so fun and relaxing. I play it often and to me it never gets old. However, I love word games. It is such a great idea to be able to stack letters on top of each other. It is like scrabble, but I find it a bit more fun.

  11. Zimba

The game isn’t as fun as scrabble but it’s decent.

  12. Riblet

I played this game last year at Christmas with my family. I loved it so much that I bought one for myself. The tiles lay easily on top of each other to change words out. The board swivels nicely. Not many rules, so make some up yourself, especially when it comes to “That’s not a word!” It was also our “go to” game during this past Christmas season. If you like word games, you’ll love this.

  13. Kat

Been enjoying this game a lot lately! It’s super easy to learn (though the scoring instructions are a tiny bit confusing as first because of the way it’s worded). I enjoy it more than Scrabble, though my husband says it’s equally fun to him. A game takes us about an hour, maybe two. We’ve taken to leaving it set up all the time and each playing our next word whenever we have a spare moment in the day, then playing many turns together in the evening. It allows us to keep playing when our schedules aren’t lining up well or when we’re busy. Definitely recommend!
