I would not recommend.
I wouldn’t purchase these again. I wanted a temporary solution to “lift” or move my TV higher than the stand allows.The “pine” wood is incredibly thin. The sides may be pine, but the bottom is balsa wood.This will doing a pinch, until I find a stand high enough for my tv. But I’d definitely not buy again. Super cheap thin nails are holding it all together too. I’m glad my flat screen tv is a smaller one and doesn’t weight a lot.For later storage, there is no way I can place anything of substance in them. I’d fear the bottom would fall out

We used these for nest boxes for our bantam chickens inside their coop. They install well on the door and the walls. They are perfect and cheap enough that hubby did not have to build them!!

Less Practical, More Decorative
I ordered a set of the brown crates, and they look just as good in person, as in the pictures, from most angles. Some of the wood has indentations on it, and crystalized sap. The insides of the crates didn’t get as much attention as the outside.The bottom is slotted into the 4 walls, and they’re glued together, then tacked with finishing nails. So, the construction seems pretty solid. I’m not sure what type of wood is used, but they’re super light weight. I wouldn’t want to put them through any serious use.I’m not too sure what I’m going to do with them yet, but based on how they feel, the decorative nature of them should be emphasized. I’ll probably find some knickknacks to toss in them, and put them in a low traffic corner of the room. I was looking more for a hardcore storage solution when I ordered them, but I do like them regardless.
