On the whole, this is a nice complete set of chains, charms, findings and tools for anyone wondering whether this type of jewelry making is going to be fun for them. There are things I’m less satisfied with, but lets begin with why this set works well.PROS:- Nice starter amounts of thin, gold-plated chains. These are pretty but quite delicate, and the links are very small, but if you can work with these you can work with pretty much any type of link chains.- The variety and types of charms are a big part of the goodness contained in this kit. There are unfortunately only 1 of each letter, but plenty of other gold and enameled charms to choose from. All charms are of good quality.- The jewelry pliers are essential for opening and closing jump rings and these are decent.- Lobster clasps are included, which means you get to finish and wear your creation without purchasing more findings.- This kit comes in a larger box with pink shreds that the kit’s items nestle in. It’s a decent gift presentation should you want to send or give these to someone.CONS:- The 5mm jump rings work with these chains because they’re quite thin (weak). All the jump rings in my personal stock were simply too thick to fit through the very small links in most of these chains. I’d rather use a stronger/thicker jump ring – it’s the weak part of most chains – but these chains won’t accommodate them.- The wire cutters in this kit are misaligned, almost blunt-edged and not even sharp enough to cut through the smallest links in the provided chains. I wasn’t surprised, good jewelry wire cutters are a bit too expensive for a kit at this price point with everything else that is included. It’s just going to be a disappointment if you don’t have your own wire cutters. I’d suggest buying something better than these. I didn’t try to sharpen these, and maybe that would help though they still may not line up.- The findings and charms are in plastic bags vs the boxes shown in my photos. I’m an organization freak, and I like to keep my findings in their own separate containers. This would have been a nice to have, but don’t let it prevent you from considering this kit. Amazon has a mind-bending number of small see-through storage options that you can purchase if it matters to you.Bottom line: Buy some good wire cutters and you’ll have a pretty nice gift or a start to something fun.

This 136 piece jewelry making kit is a great starter kit for older children and adults and would make a great gift.Pros:Chains are 18k YG plated over Stainless steel so they are hypoallergenic and will last long without rusting, etcLoads of very nice quality pendants to choose fromGood quality Lobster ClaspsCons:Chains are 3.3 ft each or 39” each which will yield about 2 necklaces (plus short extenders) if necklaces are 18” eachOr about 5 bracelets with extenders at approximately 7-8” eachThere’s only 1 letter for each alphabet letter so you cannot spell out anything requiring a second letter if it repeats one already used.I did see some other kits on Amazon that included silver and gold plus more pendants in the same price range.On the other hand, I haven’t personally tried any of those kits out to see if they match the quality of this one.Overall, I do think that this kit is a good value for the money; especially if you are looking for a gift for someone interested in jewelry making at the novice level.I make jewelry myself and I love the quality of everything in this kit plus it come in a nice gift box.I do recommend this jewelry making kit.

Fantastic Kit for Beginners and Beyond!

It comes with all the essential tools and materials needed to get started, and everything is well-organized and easy to use—even for beginners.The quality of the components is great, and the variety allows for lots of creativity.
