Works well if installed without misalignment
These are small and easy to press in misaligned if not careful. One should really have a small press to insure perfect alignment. I struggled a bit using just a hand held soldering iron but after a bit of practice they were acceptable. Nice to have the 2 lengths and the thread holding power is adequate. Price was a bit lower that other options and they resulted in good value for me once I became more proficient with my assembly technique.

Good fit.
They’re brass threaded inserts. The thread specs are good. There’s not a whole lot else to say about that.

Simple and functional.
There’s not much to be said about heat set inserts. The inner threads are cut clean and I experienced no binding or cross threading. The exterior texture is sufficient to give softened/molten plastic plenty to grab on to. They do the job they’re meant to do, and do it reasonably well.

Solid Inserts That Melt in Smoothly
These inserts are perfect for small-scale 3D printing projects. They install cleanly with a soldering iron and hold tight without cracking the plastic. The knurled design grips well, and the variety in sizes is super useful. I’ve used them in multiple builds no failures, just solid results.

Work OK for 3D prints
I got these small threaded inserts for some small 3D printed parts and designs. The quality of these inserts is great– they thread perfectly with M2 screws and the external dimensions are accurate to what I expected. I have no issue with the product, but I will mention that for 3D printed parts these may not be the best. The small size of the M2 fitting doesn’t give the plastic a ton of surface area to grip the insert. I recommend using M3 inserts, as this size of those gives a much firmer hold on the plastic.

Great for 3d printed parts
These heatset inserts are great for repairing existing items and for making robust threaded holes in 3d printed items. I use them for the latter. Just align to your hole and use a soldering iron to heat them and sink them into place. Temperature will depend on the material you are inserting them in. You may have to experiment a little.

Easy to Use – Perfect DIY Solution – 3D Printer Must Have
~~ Pros ~~• Perfect for 3D Prints!• Easy to install!• Made for DIY projects~~ Cons ~~• None!•~~ Verdict ~~• Simply easy to use and perfect for any DIY 3D print model which requires extra strength and assembly. This come in handy all the time being a small business owner involved with 3d printing. Almost all assemblies I’ve modeled and printed require these simply due to the increased strength and rigidity these add to all models. If you’re needing to do a project and want extra holding power well get these and use them!
